Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 20 Aug 2023, 05:09

Good morning.

Another day of 40°.

Apparently, despite three heatwaves this summer, Henry heat hasn't quite finished with us yet.
There's another wave of something due to hit next week so the joy we felt when we thought it'd get cooler was very short-lived.

Good job I love swimming as it's the most sensible exercise to do at the moment. My trainers are going to have to wait.

A day by the pool for me again then.
I'm rattling through books on my Kindle at a rate of knots.

There's a place in town that does roast chicken deliveries so we'll order one along with a couple of salads.

TV tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Was lovely earlier, but the mist has rolled in  Very autumnal.

Not so autumnal is the heat, it will be hot later 8-)

First day if the hunting season today and they're out in force - shots from all around us  Hope they bag some rabbits.

Good idea Ally, sadly, the only delivery we get here is if we go for it ourselves

More cutting back for me and more car port thingy for Grumpy.

Then breakfast, then footy, then pool.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Only 20C here. Some blue sky. No rin forecast for here today. May do some more gardening. There are two roses atthe front which are not very good.
May also dod up one of the Evening Primrose plants. They are hiding some of the smaller flowers.

May not post tomorrow as an electrician is coming to fit a new waterproof socket outsde. It will mean O do not have to use an extension cable when I
use the lawn mower. Itis one which is still feeb by a cable.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Ally, I hope it cools for you soon, it must be so draining :? xx

Jan, our early mornings and evenings have a touch of Autumn now xx

Good weather for gardening Cruiser :) xx

It's a pleasant day here, sunshine and clouds. We're going to The Bell at Frampton-On-Severn with D, Jeff and Jayne. Not B as she's going to an engagement party in Lydney, out in the Forest. Will get a wash on, and pegged out before we go.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning.
Hope it cools off a bit for you Ally. Strange Jan, I never think of Portugal as being autumnal. Enjoy the Bell, Kaz! Cruiser and Saundra, same weather here.
I haven't noticed the tuch of autumn in the morning; I have noticed that it is pretty dark by nine o'clock now.
Saundra, I'm watching the footie too, and the motorbikes later.
Sunday dinner and a lazy day afterwards, though the back fence could do with a lick of cuprinol before winter comes, so I might do a panel this afternoon if it stays dry.
Have a nice day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We have no hot water, not the best start to the day. The boiler is saying low water pressure and gives a couple of solutions, but Ed doesn't have a clue and doesn't want to mess around incase he makes it worse. Have tried ringing the plumber twice, no answer so have texted and e-mailed him and hope he gets back to us. In the meantime we've boiled the kettle and had a strip wash

Ed's watching the women's cup final right now, I'm not looking but it would be nice for them to win. Decided to make a chilli for dinner this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Evening all, we’re home. Nice to come back to good weather, Southampton was lovely earlier as is Dublin. Everything is unpacked, first wash just about ready to be put out overnight and I might get a second load done. Miss Osc and family are having a long weekend in London and seem to be having a great time - the musical Matilda, Madame Tussauds, the Lego store, Hamleys and Nike Town. This afternoon they were in pedalos on the Serpentine. They’ll be home tomorrow.
