Well that turned out to be a very pleasant few hours. Around midday, we were waiting for Miss Osc and Kellie to arrive, the doorbell rang and it was my sister - she had evidently got over herself and has driven here, with no problem parking. We all wandered down to the harbour, fabulous sunshine and warmth. It’s the best festival I’ve ever seen here and we’ve lived here a long time! Plenty to do for the children, Kellie had a ball, and all free. There was good live music too. We strolled along past all the various stalls, including one featuring some of the goats who have been brought into the area to keep down the gorse in an effort to prevent gorse fires. There were long queues in the hot sun for the food trucks so we walked over to the local market which was quieter and in the shade, where we had lovely calamari and chips, followed by ice cream. Edward then headed home as he was getting tired but us “girls” walked back by all the stalls and bought a few bits and pieces. Then Miss Osc had to bring Kellie to her dance class and sis and I came back here to have a cuppa before she went home. Edward and I so enjoyed our tasty lunch that the planned dinner for today will now be had tomorrow.
