Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 05 Nov 2023, 06:15

Good morning.

Cruiser, my train from Nottingham to Manchester Piccadilly then on to Glasgow yesterday was bang on time I'm happy to report.

It was fantastic seeing Michele waiting for me. :cute:

Today sis and I are going to Edinburgh for the day. . :cute:

We're getting the 10.30 straight through train and I got us an open day return. £20.75 all in for both of us which is great value as it's just over an hour's journey. :D

We've got lunch booked at Greyfriars Bobby's Bar then after that we'll wander up to see the actual statue.

A trip on an open topped tour bus is also planned. :D

There's so much to see and do we'll be kept busy.

Really looking forward to just having sis by my side. No doubt it'll be non stop laughter.

Not sure what time we'll get back this evening but I'm sure a quick cider on route will be a thing.

Have a great day.

Good morningAlly and anybody elsewho is up.

Still only 14C here but sunny so may warm up. Just pootling today.
Ally glad your journey went well. I have found when they are on time travelling by train is very good. But when there is a hold up or cancellation it is utter confusion.

Have a good day eveybody

Morning everyone

I know I posted earlier, but it's disappeared

Supposed to be a dry day, but we've had two showers so far

So that means another day of doing not a lot - and we had a lot planned for outside, but that will now have to wait.

Have a lovely time together Ally xx

Morning all, it’s overcast here but dry for the moment. No big plan for the day except a walk around the block. I think I need to take my warmer sweaters down from the attic as it is really getting much colder.

Morning all :D

Heavy rain and wind last night, nice and sunny now.

A lazy morning for us, didn't wake up much before 10am  Nothing much happening here, I have the hospital tomorrow so trying not to think about it too much.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it was sunny and now it’s raining

Feeling slightly better today. I made a lasagne for dinner and the plan was that we’d pop to the M&S food shop this afternoon to pick up a clothing order but Tom went out to get petrol from Sainsburys which is by there and he was gone over an hour. He said the traffic was terrible, hopefully it’s not caused by another accident. There’s a horrible road layout by there where the A34 and A5 cross each other and there’s also a junction for the M6 Toll too and a motorcyclist was killed there just last weekend. It’s a series of islands and it’s been reconfigured a few times but it seems to have been made worse each time. Putting a Costa, TK Maxx, a Burger King, Greggs and Sofology on land in the middle of it all did nothing to help either.

Might get a takeaway tonight, we usually go out but can’t leave Bill with it being Bonfire Night.

Al, hope you and Michele have a lovely day! It’s such a beautiful city isn’t it. Joe and Amanda are back up there next month for their fifth ‘anniversary’, they love it there :D

Have a good day all!

Evening everyone :)

It's been a busy day :) We had a look around the Christmas market in the Quays, it looks like a goowd is going on over the ice rink this year - not a bad idea with all the rain we've been having :cute:  Went to D's and raked up a load of leaves from the back garden. Came home, cooked lunch, then got out in our garden and put in some winter planting. Inbetween all that I have washed and dried some bedding, and a white load - we're off to Devon on Wednesday, and we have D's funeral on Tuesday so needed to get some jobs done. Have spoken to Chris - always ring my boys on Sundays - but H was at work, so I'll speak to him later. I need to do my nails, so must crack on :)

Al, hope you and Michelle have had a brilliant day :)

Love to all xxx
