Postby Ally » 21 Jan 2024, 07:37

Good morning.

A nice sunny day forecast. 8-)

After my walk my plan is to read and relax.
There's been far too much gallivanting recently.

We've got a chicken to bung in the oven  to have with spicy wedges and salad. :D

DOI tonight.

Have a great day..

Good morning Ally and anybodyelse who is up.

It was 13C when I got up and went for the paper. There is lots of blue sky but some grey clouds. Rain and strong winds forecast.

Just a day pootling. May change the bed.

Ally, I had half a small chicken roasted for my dinner last night, followed by a whisky and ginger ale.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny, with mist hanging around. Was very thick earlier.

We got up earlier, turned the heaters on and went back to bed  Nicely warm now the sun is coming through the shutters 8-)

I have the ironing to do that I didn't yesterday and as it's such a nice day, I'll get more washing done.

Roast pork for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull, dreary and windy here. Edward is watching golf from Dubai (beautiful sun and blue skies :( ) and I’m about to have my shower. I really have to do some ironing today. I started knitting a baby cardi last night, friends of ours are due to become grandparents later in the year. Dancing with the Stars Ireland tonight, and Call the Midwife.

Morning all.
It's warmer this morning.
Going out for a paper soon and that's about it for the day. Last night I had the best night's sleep that I've had for weeks.
Chicken for dinner here too.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, just about :)

Up early to get D to her x-ray appointment, took her home stayed for an hour, then grabbed a bite of breakfast in Tesco, and a meal deal for dinner later. We have two viewings lined up here for tomorrow and Tuesday, so will be tidying and vacuuming this afternoon, while Mick replaces the cracked bathroom tile around the shaver point in our ensuite.

See you later, Al :D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Wet. miserable and cold

Ed's a bit cross with me, I overdid it a bit this morning with my shower etc. He's right, I'm so eager to progress I tend to get a bit carried away and stand for too long. Very sore now so have taken a couple of strong painkillers!! Will be taking it nice and easy for the rest of the day.

Call the Midwife, DOI and Vera, really good viewing tonight.

Hope you all have a good day, stay warm xx

Afternoon all, it’s very blustery and has just started pouring down. It’s much milder though, we’re in double figures today.

Today didn’t go as planned. We walked Bill on the Chase, at Milford Common as there’s been clay pigeon shooting on one of the farms by us every Sunday recently and he gets worried by the bangs if we take him on the common behind us and won’t walk far. We were home before 11 so an easy lunch and a lazy rest of the day was planned.
Then Tom spied some houses he was interested in so we’ve been over to Burton on Trent for a nosy. They’re shared ownership new builds, very nice and both estates are rural and within a 10 minute drive of the school. He’s a bit stuck really with being single and having just one wage to get a mortgage with so he’s enquiring if shared ownership will be the way to go.
Four hours later we were home. Lunch cooked and eaten and we’re now finally relaxing at 4.40pm

Jen, take it easy. Hope the painkillers are helping.

Have a good rest of the day all x
