Car alarms have gone off.

:o

Thunder to the left of me, lightning to the right and now it's lashing down.

It has been coming in waves since about 4:30 and it is forecast for another hour or more. The drains are already struggling to cope.

I was driving down the Autoroute overnight. Kept hitting bands of lashing rain. It was so deep standing on the road that the car was surging and shuddering as it went under overpasses.

I even had to slow down. Dire, especially as it ticked over the small hours.
