Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start, which is lovely, cardi on, but that comes off when I get in the sun  Warming up nicely now.

Washing out, in the hope it dries before I start the ironing. Prepping the chicken and marinading it for tomorrow and sorting out of chairs, tables. It will be too hot to sit out on the back terrace, as the sun hits it about 6.30. We sat out there for dinner last night and I had to come inside

Watering and general tidy up today. Something simple for dinner, I think.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

hello you two and everyone - good morning

Wowzer Ally, that's far too warm for this time of year - and then on the flip side the cold and wet we are experiencing seems never ending.
Jan hope you get sorted what you need to get done x

I had a lovely long weekend; had loads planned got some of it done but lots not done; but hey ho. Got the day off today and driving down to Brighton shortly; a friend that lives there (well, she's in Hove) needs some gardening help so I'm packing up some garden tools and hopefully we'll get done what needs doing (lopping and shredding). The weather isn't on our side really; just hope it dries up by the time I get there

Have a lovely day all xx

Exactly what I wanted to say! xx

Jan, hope you get that all done :) xx

Ria, fingers crossed for the weather! XX

It's raining here  I have to go into town to collect a delivery from Boots - half price offer on the heads for our electric toothbrushes, oh the excitement   Then I'll walk up to the Quays to meet Mick - I'm trying to build a bit of walking back into my day as my bp has gone up  Round to D's at lunchtime, then I have ironing to do.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s grey and dreary here but the sun is supposed to appear later. I had a reasonable night’s sleep after my implant yesterday, woke up about 4am with an ache in my jaw, took a paracetamol and did get back to sleep. Eating and drinking on the other side of my mouth and avoiding anything too chewy. I got up a little bit late and have yet to have my shower, but will do so after the general tidy up. I plan to get out for a walk, then there is some ironing awaiting my attention - depending on how I feel, I might let it wait one more day. Edward has gone to play golf.

Morning all, it was just starting to rain as I walked back from the common with Bill so that was good timing.

The garage is finally sorted, although I need to get some more boxes from Ikea so we’ll probably go tomorrow night for those. There are some smaller storage boxes in the garage so I want to put the contents into larger boxes to reduce the number on the shelves, plus the Ikea ones are transparent (which the existing ones aren’t) so we can easily see what’s inside.

I’ve just ordered funeral flowers for John’s uncle Joe’s funeral on Friday, from us and Theresa and her family. It said family flowers only so I thought that was best left to immediate family and a donation (as requested in the funeral notice) would be better, especially under the circumstances as they weren’t close but flowers were Theresa and John’s wishes. John’s only since him once since the early 80s, at a funeral around 10 years ago, it’s been longer for Theresa and she didn’t even invite him to her wedding in 1987 as she didn’t like him. Mother in law had had an ongoing feud with him since the year dot over their father’s war medals which she had but he thought he or one of his brothers should’ve had.
Just for the record, John thought he was alright and he’s a very good judge of character

Kaz, it’s not really been the weather for walking has it.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Wet

Could definitely do with a bit of your sunshine Ally.
Hope your jaw eases as the day goes on Osc x

Was planning a drive to the small Tesco, but looking out of the window, I'm not sure. Will have to wait and see if the rain clears.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Yorkshire Water have been round to do a power wash of the drains to clear them out.

After yesterday's torrential downpour, for an hour, a cloud burst, the whole area got flooded. The council are now round to sort out the street drains as they couldn't cope either. The road and paths were like a river.

Clearing out the drains would prevent a lot of the surface flooding we get on our local roads, Frank. You'd think after the terrible flooding here in Gloucester in 2007 that the council would have learned

Jo, no it definitely hasn't been walking weather lately! I did get a bit of a walk in today, up to the Quays, but it was a tussle against the weather :cute:
