Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 30 May 2024, 04:50

Good morning.

38° forecast so a bit cooler than yesterday.

I'll have a swim at 8am then get ready to walk into town for my monthly haircut. :D

I'll very happily then spend the rest of the day cooling by the pool.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anbody else who is up.

The temperature is going DOWN. It was 16C when I got up. And it was raining. It has stopped but there may be more later.

No mention of any water shortage. We should get a reduction in our water rates as all the resevoirs must be full.

Just another day pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Warm already 8-)

Just spent that last half hour clearing up the debris from last night. We did most of it when they left, but there's always something - putting tables, chairs back in their proper places, clearing up split wine. A bluddy good night and the food, if I say so myself, was also very good ;) ;)

A quiet day, just a bit of watering and a fry up for dinner. Might pop own to the bar, get rid of the empties  and also the bag of rubbish.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Dull, overcast and windy

Glad your evening went well Jan.

Yesterday didn't quite go to plan, we intended to go to the small Tesco, but the road leading to it was closed off and it would have been a huge detour to get there so we turned round and went to the new Aldi closer to home. It's the first time we've been there and I doubt we'll go back too often. Most of the veg were in very poor condition, we had to dig through a lot of trays to find a cauli worth buying.

We're off out to Westwood Cross and M&S in the next hour or so.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, I was regretting not wearing gloves when I walked Bill at 6.30 :cute:

I’ve spent the morning fighting with the printer to get some Amazon returns labels printed. I won in the end but I think it’ll be ready for another battle of wits next time I use it. Tom had one which was really good, a wireless printer which was so easy to use from the phone, but it stopped working so I bought one which was the newer version when he moved out and I’ve not managed to easily print anything yet.

He’s coming over this afternoon to collect some spare slabs we have to use as a base for his shed which is being delivered on Saturday. Me and John are then going over on Sunday so the base can be laid and the shed fitted together and put in place, he’s cooking for us too. I’m going to make a lemon cheesecake to take.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon chaps.
We have taken the hound for a run and then taken him to see MrsC's uncle.
Jim had dogs all his life but at 87 he can't have one now. The dog and Jim got on very well!
I have just booked MrsC and I into a restaurant for Sunday dinner, looking forward to that.
We still have these massive, dramatic clouds. It rained earlier, then warm sun, now clouded over.
Enjoy the day everyone.

   Just realised I never posted this morning!!! Well, the weather was disappointing early on but it has cleared up to a lovely evening now. We were at dance practice this morning and Kellie has been here since after school. We will be bringing her home soon as Miss Osc and SIL are going out for something to eat, they will probably be home about 8.30. It’s been a busy afternoon, our friends who are over from England and have been touring around are arriving back here on Sunday for another two night. They want to visit the Guinness Storehouse (where they make the horrible stuff) so I’ve booked that for Monday and also the restaurant there. It’s a bank holiday on Monday but it’s not heavily booked, I’ll need to check public transport though as that will be less frequent. So there was lots of WhatsApping to and fro, then time spent doing the bookings. From having absolutely nothing arranged for the bank holiday, we are now going to be busy!
