Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 12 Jun 2024, 04:58

Good morning.

Very hot and sunny. 8-)

Yesterday's lunch lasted ten hours.

David's picking me up at 9 and we're going for a walk to Guadalmar. :D

I'll have a swim when I get home then I'm doing absolutely nothing.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Hello and good morning Ally and everyone

A lazy day sounds needed after yesterday Ally, enjoy

Another wfh day for me today. What with the road closure and there being no reason to HAVE to be in the office I'm opting to stay home (with approval from management of course) Getting to my usual station wouldn't be a problem because I could time it to leave after rush hour, but getting home would be another issue. Tomorrow I have to go in but will leave from Clandon which is a different station east of where I live; my usual station is West Byfleet which is west and on a fast line, whereas Clandon is on a slow line and the journey is an hour to Waterloo vs the usual 30 mins. Latest is that the road should reopen by Thursday next week, fingers crossed.

It's a dull start to the day today and apparently going to stay that way - sigh. Really just not warming up

Have a lovely day all x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Cool start again but warming up nicely later.

Another night bed hopping  But at least it was and still is, quiet :Hi:

Off to Ourique later, need stuff for the pool and then hit the supermarkets.

Back to have a lazy day, as sleep has been in short supply the last couple of days.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

It was only 15C when I got up. There are grey clouds but the sun is trying to come out.
have started ironing. Have done the hankies. I did the washing yesterday and it dried overnight.

Expecting a parcel delivered by Royal Mail. We have a good postman who always rings the bell.

When I have finished the ironing will do some housework.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :)

Enjoy your walk, Al :) xx

Oh Ria, that road stuff is ridiculous :( xx

Glad it's gone quiet, Jan xx

Hope your parcel comes, Cruiser xx

Another changeable day here, by the look of it. Meeting my friend J in town for a cuppa, then will come home. Mick is busy digging, doing some prep for the conservatory :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s dull and cold again. I’ve loads to do today, including ironing, cleaning bathrooms, going to take out money, getting prescriptions, wrapping and posting birthday presents for my grandniece and grandnephew in Cork, and learning a new dance. I’m also expecting a packet in the post, it’s my grandnephew’s present and is supposed to arrive today. Yesterday I got a phone call with an appointment to see the orthopaedic surgeon about my knee, 4th September which isn’t really that far away. I’m impressed as the doc only sent the referral on Friday. I’m trying to ignore the news that Aer Lingus pilots are threatening to go on strike in the next couple of weeks ……..

We got everything, even some stuff we didn't know we wanted

A couple of new watering cans (wanted) and a top for Grumpy and a pair of trousers and flip slops for me (not known about until we saw them ;) )

Just finished breakfast and I'll do the dishes and although I'm supposed to make a quiche for tonight, I'm not sure if I have the energy

Morning all :D

Bright but a tad chilly.

Ally doing absolutely nothing sounds a good plan.
Ria gosh what a palaver, fingers crossed it is all fixed by next Thursday.
Jan glad to hear it was quiet overnight for you.
Cruiser our postie is good too.
Kaz tell Mick not to overdo it digging ready for the conservatory.
Osc that was quick, not too long to wait.

Walked a lot more than I intended yesterday, I'd forgotten just how big that store is and I think we covered most of it. My foot was definitely aching by the time we got back in the car, not enough to need painkillers though which is a big improvement. Still a bit sore this morning so we won't be going far today. In fairness physio recommended having an easy day after a good walk and, if I did need an excuse, we're waiting in for Boots to deliver prescriptions ;)

Hope you all have a good day xx
