That’s it Frank, it’s a rural road (the main road to Penkridge) with a 50mph limit. Much of it straight but with a few twists and sharp bends, a humpback bridge which takes people by surprise and the added hazard of deer running out too.
The lads weren’t local, sounds like they were students at the agricultural college in Penkridge, so probably weren’t aware of how nasty the road is.
Me and Joe always come that way back from Manchester and I hate it at night, I’m always relieved when we turn off near home.
