Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 29 Jul 2024, 06:24

Morning everyone

Thunderstorms and rain :Hi: Warm though.

The forecast was right, the thunderstorms started around midnight and have been rumbling around all night. And the rain was really noisy on the roof  The sky has been lit up so brilliantly, it was almost like daylight. Bit gloomy now though.

I'm off to Ourique this morning to get my tootsies done and then back for a swim - even in the rain

Salad for dinner - again.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Janb and anybody else who is up.

A lovely sunny morning and 19C. It says it is going to get hotter.

Got two phone calls to make. Then I am going to have my hair cut. The barber I usuak go to hasben shut for three weeks so will have to
go to another one. There are plenty in town.

Back home will do some more gardening. I am trimming the edge of the lawn. A slow job as I only do a few inches at once.

Have a good day everybody.

Hello and good morning you two and everyone; happy Monday. Hope you all had a good weekend?

Jan, enjoy the tootsie treatment and then the swim; lovely to do so in warm rain. I used to be so terrified of thunderstorms, but now don't mind them as much - the lightning can be absolutely spectacular; and listening to the rain on the roof can be so calming (provided you know you and the property are safe of course and you don't have to worry ;-) )

Cruiser, good luck with the barber and enjoy pootling in the garden

Work from home day for me - it's quiet in the office this week so only 1 day in the office; but I may be able to get away with not going in at all which will be nice. I'm meeting with a friend for lunch so looking forward to that. Lovely warm sunshine for today and tomorrow, so making the most of it.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, sun and cloud here and Edward tells me there is a cool breeze off the sea, I haven’t been out yet. No mobility class for the next two weeks, but I’m hoping to have the willpower to do it at home, as our teacher sent us a video. I had towels out on the line overnight so they should be almost dry by now. There is another wash load in the machine and another waiting to go in. SIL and Edward were messaging back and forth about golf last night, so it looks as if we will be staying one night in Wicklow next week with them playing golf on both days, so a little trip to look forward to. Despite the weather, this summer is flying by.

Good morning.
A lovely morning too, sunny and warm.
We have taken Pat's paper round for her, now we are going to go to Sainsbury's for a few bits.
The summer is certainly flying by Osc.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny 8-)

I'm a complete emotional wreck this morning, what with watching Adam Peaty win silver last night and this morning seeing Tom Daley & Noah Williams win silver in the diving. We've seen Tom grow up, can't believe this is his 5th Olympics, definitely needed the tissues. Oh and mustn't forget Andy Murray in his last competition before retiring, what a fight he and his partner put up yesterday.

We should be out in the garden, but all the doors are wide open, so we can stay in and enjoy more.

Hope you all have a good day xx
