Morning everyone

Grey and cool again, but that will soon change

Safe journey Kaz xx

The posh car is ready for collection. Joaquinha will ring later and we'll sort that out. We have no idea where it is  apart from it's in Almodover, so the men can go. Grumpy will have my card and pin number, so he can have the pain of paying for it.

Cleaning for me and then I'll make the samosas for next week.

Might venture down to the bar later, not been out all week.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

hello and good morning all, happy Friday!

Kaz, hopefully you're on your way back now and all went well at LHR? Safe drive and welcome back to D - hope she had the most amazing time!
Enjoy Chorley Cruiser, happy shopping
Jan, hope PoshCar ends up being cheaper than you think - fingers crossed. Enjoy the samosa making and the bar later.... also any updates on Mitch; how is he?

My neighbour is away for 10 days so I'm feeding her cats; just back from sorting them; have gone through work emails and dealt with those and now to get myself ready to leave the house in 45 mins for a vet appointment. So many of our roads are closed at the moment that I need to figure out best way to get there. Thankfully, after yesterdays storm and (much needed) rain, it's still quite cool this morning so it won't be too bad for Jamie in her carrier.

Have a lovely day all x

Sadly not   Picking it up tomorrow, as Joaquinha can't do today, getting his new restaurant ready.

Spoke to Mitchell the other day, he's still in constant pain and unable to move unaided. Although he managed a couple of steps on Monday. The hospital have done all they can, the surgeon is happy with his hip. He's now just waiting for a vacancy in a rehab place, where he'll be for the next couple of months.

Morning all, the weather is changing after a few lovely days - well, of course it is, it’s a bank holiday weekend here. Still mostly sunny at the moment though for however long it lasts. I have a bit of a dodgy tummy today so won’t be going far. We are supposed to be going dancing this evening but if I still feel this tired, we probably won’t go. I was trying on a dress earlier that I want to take on our cruise at the end of the month and the little button at the top came off and the loop that went over it, so I’ll try and figure out how to do a new loop. A fiddly job and made more difficult as my nails are rather long (due to be done on Tuesday)! Otherwise, I’ll do some jigsaw and probably watch the Olympics, Edward is out playing golf.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

The promised thunderstorm didn't happen yesterday after all, but tbh I think we could have done with it. It was extra humid last night.

It's wash day here, but I don't have to tell you what we're watching in between loading/unloading the machine. Oh the excitement, it's never ending, more medals including Gold in the rowing :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, its another hot one. We’ve had none of the forecast rain.

I made the mistake of going outside for 10 minutes with a short sleeved top on yesterday and ended up with a sun allergy rash on my arms it was so itchy last night.

Joe’s working from home today and then that’s him done for a week. Not sure what plans he has for next week but he rejoined the gym yesterday so no doubt he’ll spend some time there.

The Tesco delivery has been and now I’m waiting for Royal Mail to deliver a parcel. We went to Pets At Home last night to collect a bag of food I’d ordered for Bill and on the way home called at the Co Op to collect an Ikea order I’d had delivered to there. It was just two artificial twigs for in a vase so I can put tiny lights on them. I’d planned to walk over and get them today but thought we might as well get them while passing.
So glad we did! The box was enormous, 3ft by 2ft x 1ft, with a huge amount of paper packaging used to fill out the box

Have a good day all :D

We're home :)

Ria, the LHR pickup was remarkably smooth - T5, we parked in the short-stay car park where we had up to two hours free parking using D's blue badge. Very close to arrivals, so easy for D. Fraggle and I waited in the car ;)

We stopped at Chievely services on the way back, for some breakfast. Dropped D at home first, went in for a cuppa and for Mick to refill the water tank for the greenhouse. No doubt the early start will catch up with us later

Jo, you should have seen the size of the Amazon package I got - for a mascara

Sorry to hear about Mitch, Jan, hopefully rehab will help xx
