Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny 8-)

The temperature has dropped to 25C, much more comfortable than the 27C we've had the last couple of weeks. Funnily enough I don't mind when we're on holiday, we always prefer hot countries, but of course we don't have to do much just laze under a big umbrella on a nice beach. Having said that anything over 40C is definitely excessive. Good idea to keep well shaded and hydrated Ally and Jan xx

Actually managed a good lie in, thank goodness the humidity has dropped too. We're planning to get out in the garden for a good tidy up. As usual there's a carpet of leaves under the palm tree. Also need to do a bit of weeding, the garden bin collection is tomorrow. No other plans, I'm sure we'll be cream crackered by the time we've finished

Hope you all have a good day xx

You wouldn't believe the amount of water I get through Jen ;)

When I'm on the lilo, I have a huge hat on, as well as glasses, so well covered 8-) My head and face, at least. The bottom half of me is in the water, keeping the rest of me cool.

Afternoon all

Al, I’m sitting here in a sweatshirt. I’ve been in and out of the garden and while the temperature is supposed to be 20°according to the BBC it certainly doesn’t feel like that. It’s grey with a strong breeze.

An early start this morning at 4am to check Joe had his passport, give him a hug and see him off. He had to drive up to Manchester Airport for a flight to Frankfurt for work, a week of training at the company HQ where he’ll gain some qualifications by the time he flies back on Friday. His flight wasn’t until 9am but he gave himself extra time because the M6 is so unpredictable.

Stir fry for tea and then I think we’re going out for a walk around Birmingham, probably get a coffee somewhere.

Jen, I have no problems with heat when we’re abroad but anything over 20° here and I’m complaining.

I'm the same, I reckon it's to do with humidity? :?
