Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 27 May 2025, 06:32

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 37°. We went out shopping yesterday around 4pm and it was reading 44°.

We've an appointment with our solicitor this morning then onto an estate agent. We've seen a couple of properties we like so will get all the details.
We also need to look at possibly renting for 11 months (that's the normal lease time over here) as I can't see us having bought and moved before September.
No problem. Upcoming family celebrations and me buggering off for five weeks doesn't help.

Back for a swim then stay in the pool.

Have a great day.

Hello and good morning Ally, and everyone :-) Hope everyone had a good long weekend?

44 degrees already; wowzer! Good luck with both the solicitor and the estate agents - fingers crossed xxx

A odd start to the day here weatherwise, sun is definitely trying to break through, but not really succeeding. Bits of rain in between and still quite windy. Definitely a day to be staying indoors I think. WFH for me today so a usual mix of work and pootle.

Have a good day all x

Good mroning Ally Ria and anybody else who is up

It was only 16C when I got up. The sun is out but there are still some grey clouds and it is windy.

Going to Chorley this morning. Also going to the bank. One of my Isas matures. Will get another one so Racheal cannot get the money to try and fill
her black hole.

Have also got to make some phone calls.

May put the washer on as the basket is gettingfull again.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning and it's getting light by 5.20

Been nurse this morning  He's not my favourite patient but he's hurt his shoulder, no idea how and is wallowing in it

Shopping this morning, not sure if he's coming or not.

Back for breakfast and then no idea. Will be too hot to do anything outside.

Good luck with the legal stuff Ally x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all , it’s dull and heavy rain is forecast for later this morning.

Usual start to the day, a walk with George. Tom was just leaving for a dentist appointment when we got back, he’s now at a garden centre looking for plants for his back garden.
I’m waiting for Royal Mail to collect some parcels this morning and we’ve got an estate agent coming tonight to do a valuation, the first of a few that I’ve booked.

Hope your appointments go well Al!

Have a good day all :)

Best laid plans and all that

Dead car  I've been telling grumpy over the last few weeks that the car is getting slower and slower to start and we need a new battery.

He told me that he'd drunk half a bottle of whiskey in the early hours, to help with the pain and he'll be over the limit to drive

I haven't driven the Merc yet and he was rather loathe for me to do so this morning

Sergio is working (he's a car mechanic) Steve was heading down to the Algarve, so one of them will come up later and take me in to get a new battery.

Plus, I'm skint, as Hugo eventually turned up yesterday and took all my money for a new gas bottle

Shopping will have to wait until Thursday now. At least we won't starve, always got enough food to last a month

Morning all :D

Sunny 8-)

We did more in the garden than planned yesterday, must say it looks much tidier, but my ankle is definitely feeling it this morning. No plans for today, expecting a delivery from Tesco later this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good morning all.
Grey and chilly here.
44c would be way too much for me. Good luck with the house sale Ally.
I thought I needed a new battery a bit since Jan, but it only needed charging up. I hope yours isn't too ££££.
We have been past the doctor's this morning, the car park was rammed. I don't know what's going to happen when we get yet another estate tacked onto the village.
onwards and upwards.
Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, renting is definitely a good idea, it will allow you to look around at your leisure :) xx

It's chilly here too, Ria xx

Hope you got it all sorted Cruiser xx

Hope Grumpy improved as the day went on, Jan ;) xx

Good luck with the valuation Jo! xx

Definitely best to take it easy then Jen xx

That's the problem with all the new estates, isn't it Crommers! We're having similar issues with new builds just outside Gloucester - lots of houses, but no new schools, GP surgeries etc  xx

I hope Osc and E are enjoying sailing the high seas :D xx

It's been raining here, which is much-needed, but the drop in temperature has been a bit of a shock  I went into town first thing, to the P.O. to post something for B, then joined Mick in the Quays for breakfast. Round to see D after that, then home. I've done a load of ironing, and made a batch of savoury mince to be divided up and frozen later.

Love to all xx

80 euros Crommers :Hi:

It was almost six years old, which is very old for this heat. They took the old one and made sure the date of renewal was etched onthe new one.

Grumpy will put it on in the morning, once he's taken me down to the bar.

Not that I'm spending all day there, being picked up at 9.50
