Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 29 May 2025, 07:21

Good morning.

Another 40° forecast.

I'll be in or around the pool under a palm tree with a steady stream of cold drinks.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

It is only 16 C here. It has been raining and there is still a light drizzle. It may stop but there are lots of grey clouds.

Just a day of pootling. Got towrite two cards and post them to America.

No gardening today. But I ope to do some more weeding on Saturday. They are sprouting up everywhere.

Have a good day everybody

Morning everyone

Lovely and warm already, which means a stinky hot day

Off to Ourique soon, need salt for the pool and then do the supermarket shopping. Pit stop for coffee on the way back and then breakfast.

I'll put some of the new plants in the garden, the others will have to wait until I can weed where I need them to go.

I also bought a lovely wall plaque yesterday. Just right for the pool wall, but that might take some time to be put up.

Salad for dinner - not surprisingly

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s dull but for now it’s not raining. It’s quite breezy and forecast to reach 20° so hopefully the three loads of washing I’m doing, that have piled up over the rainy days, will dry.

Not much planned today, apart from a load of ironing should the washing dry. George had his walk first thing and I’ll go for a short solo one a bit later to get him used to being left alone.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Bit overcast, it rained overnight and more is promised.

Very envious of your lovely sunshine Ally.

Looks like yesterday was the right day for a walk. Nothing much happening here today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, just popping in to say a quick hello. Today we are in Split, Croatia, our third and last Croatian port, we’ve loved them all. Tomorrow is Kotor, Montenegro, we’ve been there twice before so may not go ashore but we’ll see. Saturday we will be at sea all day, arriving in Sicily on Sunday. We are having a great time, and of all the ships we’ve been on over the years (maybe 7 or 8) this has quickly become our favourite. Older than others and a bit smaller but there is a lovely atmosphere and it feels very cosy. We’ve even done some dancing so it’s as well that I threw in a pair of dance shoes at the last minute. The weather has been gorgeous, perfect temperatures for us, until today when we actually got some rain while out and about. Hope everyone is well xx

Good afternoon.
That sounds lovely Osc.
We have been shopping.
Also tried to get some cash from the atm which gave as a receipt for £250 - but no cash.
It has been sorted now but it's the sort of thing you can do without.
The lady in Santander said they have had loads of people in with problems from these atms at Sanisburys.
Feet up now.
We were going to go and buy another curtain rail but we've had enough excitement for one day! ;)
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, it's a tough call but someone has to do it ;) :D xx

Happy pootling, Cruiser :) xx

The wall plaque sounds interesting, Jan. What's it like? xx

Hope your washing dries, Jo, although the drawback to that is definitely the ironing :cute: I've just done yet another pile  xx

Hope your quiet day is a good one Jen :) xx

Osc it all sounds amazing, and the photos have been wonderful! Carry on cruising! ;) :D xx

Oh blimey, Crommers!. Glad it got sorted xx

It started out cloudy, but warm here, and has since brightened up beautifully. As it's Thursday we went to Tesco with D this morning, and since getting home I've vacuumed through, and done some ironing.

Having a pit stop now before tackling the dusting and cleaning the downstairs loo.

Mick's just nipped into town to pick up his new specs, and Daisy went to work with B today. GWT allow people to take their dogs in occasionally, so B decided to try Daisy out so that she can do it in future when M and I are away. So far, so good - B has been updating me with photos

Love to all :) xx

I'll take a photo of it, either when it's up - which might take some time - or tomorrow, as it's lying on the floor. If you could be so kind, it would be lovely to see it here, as not everyone is on fb xx

Grumpy not too well, more pain than anything, and he will not let me get him to Castro, for the urgençia, but has agreed to go in early on Sunday, to see a doc and I've also made an appointment for physio on Monday, which can be cancelled, once he's seen the doc. He's a bit iffy about me going in tomorrow, for about 7.00, so I can make an appointment for that afternoon, so Sunday it is.

Such a stubborn bloke
