Lambretta v Vespa.

Postby Workingman » 01 Jul 2025, 18:09

Today is the 34th Lambretta Euro Run.

How did 'old smokey' last so long!?

Lambrettas tended to be very pastel shades. OK if you like that sort of thing.

I had a Vespa SS180 in Azzurri blue, but I added white and blue flashes for Leeds colours.

The competition between the two was almost as tribal as between Mods and Rockers.

Both rockers here, so Tiger cub was my first, Grumpy was an Enfield Contiental.

Give me a proper motorbike any day.

Used to have a Lambretta 150 Li special, a few "field" bikes and a Jawa 500 with the Rotax engine.

I always did long runs on my bikes so never considered a city bike which essentially is what a scooter is.
