Good morning from a beautifully sunny Nottingham. 8-)

Had the smoothest flight over yesterday morning. :D

I'm in the UK for a month and have lots of plans.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Another cool, grey start to the day and only 28C

Done the watering, Grumpy helped, so only took an hour

Off to Ourique this morning, for an artisan market. Might be interesting, might not. But I'll get a baguette on the way home and we'll have a lazy morning.

Going to a friend's house this afternoon. It's her birthday today and she's decided on an "afternoon tea". Which will, no doubt, include alcohol

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning!

Welcome to the UK again, Ally :D So looking forward to seeing you 8-) xx

Take care in the heat Cruiser :) xx

Enjoy the market Jan, and happy birthday to your friend :) xx

It's going to be scorchio in the South today - we're travelling from SW to SE but luckily the car has good aircon  Just Mick and I, B and Daisy are staying home. Aunty Rose lives in a little village between Milton Keynes and Bedford, then off to my sister's in Luton later on, to stay overnight :D

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

We were up and out at silly o'clock for the weekly M&S trolley dash. Thank goodness their chillers are all working okay, we managed to get everything we went for. Not much planned for today, I'll probably watch the tennis this afternoon, the semi finals were really good. No idea who will win the women's final, but I'd love to see Alcaraz take the men's trophy again.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Blasted car wouldn't start again

So I left Grumpy and walked over to Pingo, got stuff in the chemist, got in and it started

Not a lot going on at the market, but I bought a cordyline and a couple of other plants.

Our friend Burt is not doing too well after his op. All the new parts are working fine, but he has low bp and an infection. Debby is up in Lisbon now and can see him later, so will get another report then.

Afternoon all, it’s far too hot.

George had a cooling walk in the woods before my hair appointment, just a dry cut so no heat involved thankfully. We’re now sitting in front of the fan which George has now thankfully decided isn’t a threat to his wellbeing.
Jade’s over later and after tea they’re both off to Tom’s for an overnight stay before he drops them at East Midlands airport early tomorrow for their flight to Portugal.

The only plan we have today is another walk for George once the sun starts to set.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon all, late on parade as we headed off for a walk after breakfast to avoid the crowds. It’s a stunning day with the temperature currently 25 degrees, a rarity here. We wanted to look at some building going on that we had heard about, and also look at the outside of a house being bought by a friend of Miss Osc’s, in one of the best spots in Howth. Met the guy who does our car, out walking with his wife and children, hadn’t met his wife before, so we had a chat with them. Then on the same road as Miss Osc’s friend’s house-to-be, someone was out doing his garden who we knew so we had a great chat with him, Edward and himself reminiscing about growing up in Howth. Edward didn’t grow up here but spent lots of time here with his grandmother and aunts as a child. Back home now and taking things easy. I got up at 6am to put on a wash so it was ready to go on the line when we finally got up, it’s probably bone dry by now. Edward is looking at rugby and we might look at the tennis later.
