Good morning.

Another gorgeous day. 8-)

Getting the train this morning to Birmingham.
Meeting up with Kaz, WM and Cruiser. :cute:

Later in the afternoon I'll get the train to Dorridge where Jackie will be waiting for me. :cute: :cute:

I'll be with her till Thursday. 47 years next week we've been best friends. 8-)

Tonight we're meeting Sue, Elaine, Pat and Jan for our annual dinner and drinks meet up. :P
Although Jackie sees them regularly as they all live in Solihull.

Looking forward to it all very much. :cute:

Have a great day.

Hello you two and everyone, good morning.

Ally, have the best time and hugs to everyone when you see them. Gutted I'm missing it this year, but sadly work has to take priority :-(
Enjoy the evening out with all the friends, you'll be knackered come bed time!
Jan, hope you and Grumpy have a good day, enjoy whatever it is you end up doing.

Well a WFH day for me, got the heating engineer coming at some point this afternoon evening for the annual boiler service. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the day off to head to Brum for the meet - we already have two colleagues off and it just wouldn't work me being off as well.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Good morning everybody.

Only 19C this morning. We have had some rain and there is still some grey clous. But the sun is tryingto come out.

Ally, I am not coming to Birmingham this year. I am not sleeping very well. I had a day out at Lytham which was much closer to home. But I seem to have lost my energy
with all the hot weather.

Going to Lidl for some shopping. Then just pootling. Probably more dusting and polishing.

Have a good day everybody.

Cruiser, sorry to read you're not able to make it; but definitely makes sense to take it easy. Hopefully it's going to cool down a few degrees now, but it has been rather warm; and we're just not equipped to deal with it here in the UK. Look after yourself x

Morning all, it’s St Swithin’s Day and it’s been raining . However, it seems to have passed over now. So today is the day, and we’ll be heading off to Northern Ireland later. Michael has to play golf in Wicklow this morning and then will get a train to Howth. We’ll pick him up at the station and get on the road, stopping on the way to get something to eat. It’s an easy enough drive to Belfast. Tomorrow and Thursday we’ll be going to the golf in Portrush, tomorrow’s weather looks ok but Thursday doesn’t look great, however we’ll have all our wet gear with us and just get on with it. I have all day to finish packing although it is mostly done. Edward has a box of food organised as we will be in an apartment.

Have a great day today, Brum meeters! Sorry you don’t feel up to it Cruiser, but you are wise to listen to your body and take it easy - the heat can indeed cause loss of sleep, so I hope it cools down for you a little and you can get some rest.

Good morning all :)

Am at Gloucester station, waiting for my train :)

Cruiser, I’m so sorry you aren’t able to join us, we will miss you! :( I think the very recent heat has been very draining, and I hope you feel better soon!

Ria, hopefully by next time you’ll be more settled in the new job and will be able to join us!

Have a good trip, Osc :)

Morning, Jan! Take it easy in the heat xxx

Have a good day everyone xxxx

Very wise Cruiser. You can raise a glass of something to them instead.

Grumpy was out in the morning heat, doing things to the pool wall.

I've had a very productive morning. Two plants now in the garden - hoping the rabbits don't eat them  - another wasps nest removed, prep done for a bbq, potato salad done too. A bramble removed and a rose bush cut back. The trimmings went down to what I thought would be our bonfire, but the sheep have eaten everything  :o

And something is eating one of my plants, all the leaves have gone, over night  Think it might be locusts

The ironing is going to have to wait, it's too hot now.

Osc, enjoy Belfast, despite the weather xx

Morning all :D

We've just had a heavy shower, I think we could be in for more

Happy meeting in Brum, shame you can't make it Cruiser, but sensible to take it easy.
Osc safe journey to Belfast.

Looking out of the window I don't think we'll be going anywhere, expecting a Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx
