Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 30 Jul 2016, 05:49

Good morning. :D

Just when you think it can't get any hotter.... :o   8-)

I've been a good mummy  and made Conor a feast of goodies to eat on his 12 hour coach journey to Cantabria.

We're taking him into Puerta de la Torre at 8.30 to catch said coach along with the other volunteers. :D

Back for a swim and lots of coffee.

I'm not going on fb or any other social media as I have Thursday and Friday's Masterchef to watch and I don't want to know who won beforehand!

A lazy day by the pool is planned and tonight we're out for a friend's birthday to the Thai restaurant. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Out in the garden this morning, as we're expecting a cooler week-end  Grumpy already hard at it - I'm going to annoy next door and weed the bank 8-)

Down to the bar this afternoon,as I want to catch the veg lady - and I'll be drinking ice-tea :o :o beer is giving me chronic indigestion, and it's too early for wine, so ice-tea it is

Cooking on our hot stone - outside - tonight. Steak, mushrooms and other goodies :D :D

Hav a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all!

It's a bright and sunny start here. Billy will be walked as soon as John gets up and ready.

I have a hair cut appointment this afternoon, it's 5 minutes in and out though as I only get the back cut and as the longer layers have grown down I've needed to get less and less cut each visit. It's six weeks since it was last cut though so is very much in need of a trim.

Tonight we're having a Chinese takeaway with my sister, her boyfriend and our parents so it'll be nice to all get together.

Safe journey to Conor!

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Young man + 12 hour journey = mucho hungry, so well done Mummy Ally for all the snacks :D 8-) :D I made Hannah a packed lunch for her 6 hour journey to Cornwall last weekend

Jo that is a quick haircut :D Mine needs cutting again, maybe next week 8-) :)

Morning Ton, I'm on me way for the BBQ's steak and a dip in the pool :P ;) :D

Well it's bright here, hopefully it will stay that way over lunchtime and into the afternoon :) Out as usual, for lunch at Corretto's, then round to D's to sit in the garden hopefully :) We need to take down the awning thingummy and move her tables and chairs back into place as well, it was raining last night by the time Mick came round, so we decided to leave it overnight ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all :D

Bit overcast here today.

Tom the plumber came back and managed to get our hot water going, but we still need a new something or other fitted to make sure it doesn't happen again. He's hoping to have the new part sometime Monday. He says the problem definitely occurred because Terry drained all the radiators without filling the system up again  guess who'll be getting the bill!!

I'm still very stiff from the fall, but better than yesterday. Today we have Peter painter stripping our bedroom. There's not much more he can do this weekend so it looks like we'll have tomorrow to ourselves.

No plans for today, just the usual washing. Might go for a little walk this afternoon, depends on the weather, it's not looking too promising at the moment.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all,

Jen at least it wasn't a whole new boiler situation. My boiler wasn't properly fitter in the first place and when I moved it the system airlocked and it fractured the boiler. Which was not cheap to get fixed, the boiler costs €4,500. Falling is no fun either but look in the bright side, you could have stood on a rusty nail stuck in some cast off wood... :) :)

Ton, I will resolutely NOT talk to Mrs S about hot stones for cooking. She'll have me remodel the outdoor kitchen again and I think a wood burning Rayburn and a Barbie is more than enough.

I'm pulling the bike apart today and, hopefully having it back together tonight. Although I'm off to Linlithgow for some tools before I start to it will be an afternoon start. I have all the parts now so it's just effort and I'm already way late in starting.

The main reason I'm so lazy today is that I have my replacement Microsoft Band and my steps were a bit low. So I walked from Work (Dundas Street), to Haymarket for the tram. But it was barely one days steps and I'm not going far today. So I walked to Murrayfield. Then I thought, what the hell, and walked to the Gyle centre. I would have walked right out to the airport but it was getting late and I had a tool to pick up from Screwfix.

Today I'm a bit stiff.

Suff, it's called a Rachlette Grill. it's an electric thing, with a stone and a hot plate on top, the grill is underneath and dishes are supplied with it for that.

I'm having a worktop fitted, sometime or other - so will be in heaven next summer 8-)
