Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 27 Oct 2016, 05:56

Good morning. :D

Sunshine and warm forecast. 8-) 8-)

Ed's coming back from Tarifa today (he flies back to Gatwick 5pm tomorrow) and I'm looking forward to seeing him again and hearing how his wind surfing on the Atlantic went and also his trip to Tangiers. :D

I have work 4 - 9 then meeting Don and Ed for a few beers and a bite to eat. Don & I met 28 years ago today so it's a celebration beer.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :D

Looks like we're in for another sunny day.

More hassles here, our inner front door yale lock has jammed. Unfortunately the boys shoes and coats are in the porch and the key for that door is still in the lock so we can't get in from inside or out  I've called a locksmith who says someone will be here within 2 hours, fingers crossed they can gain access without causing any damage to our newly decorated porch and front door.

Z&M are due around lunch time, I was planning to do lunch here as the fireplace people are due any time after 12 today, just as well really as right now we're not going anywhere anyway!! Honestly we're beginning to think if it can go wrong it will

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all.
Weather looks a bit undecided here now. I've got a busy day ahead - a bit of shopping,
a visit to the Doctors for a coagulation check this morning, then getting ready for my Golden Oldies Music Night this evening.

Enjoy your cruise, Cruiser.

Have a good day, everyone. Sorry to hear about your lock problem, Jen.
I've never heard of a Yale lock jamming before.

Morning all

Happy 'meet'aversary to you and Don Ally, hope you enjoy the beers tonight x
Jen, that's rather odd with the yale lock; have you tried squirting WD40 into it to see if that works? Good luck, I do hope the locksmith is able to sort it for you
LOL Cruiser, I also thought you were still on a cruise. Have fun on the next one
Ton, sort through that ironing pile and divide into what really really really has to be ironed and what would be nice to be ironed... put the second pile away into the cupboards and just do the first :D
Good luck with the doctors appointment Aggers and enjoy the music evening

Well, usual work day for me then going past a friends to pick up some plug plants. She thought she ordered 140 pansy plugs but 400 turned up  oops so I'm getting some
Our receptionist is off sick today - I swear there is something in the air down that part of the office; our receptionists seem to be ill so often  and so often it's the same excuse - up vomiting all night. Oh well....

Morning all :)

Jen, how inconvenient is that???? :( Hope it gets sorted soon xxx

Well it is looking like a dry and sunny, if chilly, day today, so I am risking a line full of clothes  They can always go in the tumbler later if needs be ;) Other than that no real plans, will see how the day pans out :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Afternoon all,

Jen that is a real pain. It will probably just be stiffness in the lock aided by someone doing the wrong thing when it stuck. Personally, when it's released, I'd WD40 the whole thing and work it a lot.

Another day for me. The person I'm replacing leaves tomorrow and it's his leaving drinks tonight. I'll have one beer. Still wrestling with getting myself on the work clock and tired every morning. I'm flying tomorrow so have to leave early, but at least I'll be home before 10am.

Have a good day all.

Good morning/afternoon all. It's just gone 6am here, up early as we're leaving here for Vegas shortly via Red Rock Canyon. We decided last night that 5 or so hours - the short journey - is quite long enough to be sitting in the car. Sad to be leaving LA though.

Yesterday was great. Pasadena is a beautiful city and then we spent around 4 hours at Griffith Park Observatory. It's such an incredible view from there. John and the boys took a hike to the top of Mount Hollywood. I started to go but turned around at the sign warning of rattle snakes :?

Have a good day all!
