Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JoM » 24 Jan 2017, 07:22

Morning all!

It's clear here, not the foggy start that was forecast. John's already gone out as he's in Sunderland until tomorrow night. Just about to walk Billy.

Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, morning everyone.

Forecast lovely again for today. 8-) 8-)

I've been for my run and now enjoying a coffee. I'm back before anyone is up.

Going into work a bit earlier today as it's exam time and I have loads of papers to sort out for my B2 students. I want to have them all in place for the start of the listening exams tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all :)

Hope you get all your exam papers sorted Ally, and good luck to the students :geek: 8-)

Jo our forecast was also foggy, but like you we have bright sunshine :D

I'm off to zumba soon, my weight hadn't moved yesterday so I need to put some real effort in   Up to see D afterwards for our usual soupy lunch :D

B applied for a job at the library yesterday, fingers crossed that she gets an interview!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

A lovely sunny, frosty morning.

We have operation tick removal this morning. Thought I saw something on Molly yesterday and after a careful look-see - yup, a tick. Tried the tweezers and got told off as it didn't work :cute: so I'm going to try the liquid soap in a minute. When I can catch her

More weeding to be done later, when it warms up.

Good luck to B :)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I hope B goes on OK Kaz. Ton, yes they say that putting vaseline on a tick will make it drop off, though Sergio over the road used TCP when his dog got a tick.

Nice and sunny here but blinking cold.

Off to Sainsbury's in a minute, have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Wet on the ground as the frost melts, but it looks like it's going to be another nice day.

We're off to Bluewater to look at furniture, thinking of buying a new sofa and chairs and M&S have a sale on at the moment. We bought our current set for the last house so it's about 10 years old. It's still wearing very well, but we chose a very pale colour which can mark easily so not really practical. I always cover it with throws when the boys come as I never want to be the kind of grandmother always telling them to be careful, it would be nice not to have that hassle.

Keeping fingers crossed the traffic isn't too bad.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

Well bossman wasn't meant to be in today and tomorrow, but guess who just turned up :x :( . Just as well I did my personal filing yesterday

Ally, good luck to the students for their exams - I'm sure they'll all do super well x
Fingers crossed for B Kaz.
Enjoy the furniture shopping Jen and hope you find the perfect thing. And agree, it's nice to not have to worry - I've always had three rules in my household for any visiting kids: no chasing cats (that would get them in huge huge trouble), if they spill something to please come right away and tell me so we can quickly clean up and no shoes on the furniture (sadly one friends daughter didn't heed and the buckle of her sandal left a fair scratch on the leather - oh well; with time the cats have not improved the look ;) ) And that's it - and generally whenever anyone with their kids comes to visit we all have a relaxing time because we don't worry about them

Usual work day for me - no surprise there really. Kaz and Jo, we now a lovely sunny but hazy day here, but it started with a really cold wet air but now seems to be lifting. Looking at the forecast they're expecting it to warm up again but that sadly will be bringing lots of rain with it.... I think I prefer these cold days

Ton, good luck with Operation Tick... can you get spot on flea / tick treatment where you are? If not I can see if I can get for you and send it? x

Have a lovely day all xx

We had a go with the soap, that hasn't worked. Grumpy got a couple of lovely long scratches    so we'll try the vaseline treatment next time she comes anywhere near us

I've got some frontline, thanks Ria. We get it in the chemist   I'll be doing that later.

meanwhile, there is another cat on the property :o :o :o and it's been sleeping in the ruin, by the looks of it. So I've chased it away and hope it won'«t come back.

I am not having any more cats

Afternoon all, felt pretty rough when I got up and went back to bed around 11.15 when Mr Osc went off to play golf. Got up again just after 1pm, feeling much better, made a batch of soup and had lunch. Miss Osc arrived with the children around 3pm so that was a nice surprise, and Kellie loved the hat I had made for her. Mr Osc is making veggie risotto for dinner and also has a banana cake of some kind in the oven (top tip - always marry a man who can cook ;) ). More taking it easy this evening and early to bed :)

Operation tick a success - used my tweezers

Take it easy Osc - and yes, I wish some-one else would cook sometimes.

But we're going out tomorrow night, so some-one else is - and doing the washing up :Hi: :Hi:
