It's fresher here today too. I'm supposed to be going shooting in Huddersfield but I'm not feeling too brilliant so we'll see how it goes. Your day sounds lovely Ally. I'm glad Molly's better Jan and yes Saundra, that does sound like a racket! Try and get a break if you can.

Have a good one everybody.

Morning all :)

Ally good plan!

Di yikes! We had rain overnight, it's clear now though ;)

Jan glad Molly is better xx

Sandra what a racket!

Morning Cromwell :)

Had a lovely evening with H and S, it was so warm we sat out on the patio until midnight :) They are on their way to Cornwall now, B has gone to work and Mick to the gym :) Out to the garden centre later, we are avoiding the Quays this weekend as the Tall Ships festival is on and it will be heaving! They are charging for tickets this year and we've done it several times before ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning all, it's sunny here after a heavy shower earlier.

I got up at 6 to walk Billy as the rain was forecast to start at around 8, plus I wanted to see Tom and Shannon before they left. Anyway, we all had coffee before running them down to the station, they're off to Windsor for the weekend as their flatmate for next year is having a birthday party tonight. Tomorrow they're having the day around London (which worries me, and I know that Shannon's parents have told her to stay vigilant too) and will be back just before Midnight. Shannon was planning on going back to the flat, her parents are picking her and her belongings up on Tuesday, but as things are a bit difficult with the other girl being jealous about them going away this weekend I've told her that she's more than welcome to come back here if she wants.

Yesterday was lovely though. We had a couple of hours sitting outside the pub down the lane and then came home to do a barbecue and sat outside until nearly 11. Lots of chat and lots of laughs, it's flippin' great when your kids grow up and still want to spend time with you :D

No other plans for today which is lovely. We'll call in and see my parents if it's not too warm. I hate going there when it's hot as they don't have windows or doors open and it's so uncomfortable, so we'll see. Tom called around to see them on Thursday night and came back moaning about how hot it was in the house.

Saundra, I hope they have a good time. It's so annoying when places put on so many restrictions though, the water bottle and food one is ridiculous. You can bet they'll be charged an arm and a leg for it once inside. When we go to the football we go to Home Bargains around the corner from the ground and buy a couple of 29p 500ml bottles of water, that's the size we're allowed to take in - certainly saves paying £3 a bottle once inside!

Have a good day all!

Yes, same here ..... I awoke about 3:00; all was quiet. At 3:10 the lightning suddenly started, almost constant, flashes in the clouds every few seconds  . At 3:20 the rain came, a storm for about 10 minutes. Then all quiet again! :D

Overcast, heavy but a lot cooler this morning!

Enjoy your day, everyone!

Morning all, cloudy here but still warm. It rained during the night and more is forecast. We have had another leak in the bathroom and the builder came yesterday - he did finally find a hole, as Mr Osc had been running the hose in different spots on the terrace to try and pin down exactly where it was, so it is hopefully fixed - if we get the rain we are forecast, it will be well tested. H/work planned for the day, it feels like we haven't stopped since we got back from holidays so things have fallen behind a bit. Expect the weather to get colder as I am putting on the summer duvet :cute: :cute: The first of our yellow roses has bloomed, beautiful. Enjoy your day, everyone :)
