...are incredibly generous!!!
We fly into Bergen in Norway on Thursday at noon.
The first port of call is Tyssedal to be able to tackle the first climb on the Friday. It's a trip of 140kms. David's booked all the other connections easily enough for all the other days, but was really struggling to get us transport (either bus or ferry. There is no train service.)
It was looking likely that we wouldn't get to the hotel for our first night until nigh on midnight...not brilliant given we need to be up at 6am the next morning.
Anyway...David's parents have decided to treat us to a taxi from the airport (once we've been to the supermarket to stock up on food for the next day.)
Said taxi is now booked....at a cost of 300€!!
They just wanted to make sure we had a decent night's sleep on the first night to put us in good stead for the next 3 days gruelling climbs.
How kind are they?!
