Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 03 Dec 2017, 06:12

Good morning.

Forecast looks lovely again. 8-)

Don & I are going to Cartama market this morning. It's always worth a visit and I've been told I'm being treated to coffee and a pitufo once we've finished. :x :x

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning all :)
Dull and dreary out there, but supposed to clear, and it's not really cold.

A market sounds fun Ally, nothing like that around here.
I will be going out, for a wander around the shops, then back to make a chilli from casserole beef, in the slow cooker :)
Hope everyone has a good day

Good Morning,
Dull and damp here--not nice at all.
Been awake for hours with acid reflux once again.
Just going through to Whitstable to do a bit of shopping.
Roast lamb for dinner.
Have a good day.

Good morning all! We're on Day 2 of foggy, miserable weather. It didn't clear at all here yesterday and was drizzly throughout.

We popped into Stafford yesterday afternoon and I got a couple of Christmas presents and then popped into Home Bargains where I bought the loveliest candle! It's about the size of a large Yankee one but was only £2.99 and it's gingerbread scented. I've just lit it in the kitchen and it's gorgeous! I also got what I was going in for; a string of warm white tree lights for outdoors.

By the time we'd been to Stafford, visited my parents and then watched the football neither of us fancied going in and out of the garage with the trees and decorations, especially in the drizzle, so we'll probably do them tonight instead

I didn't intend getting up early today and was in two minds whether to take Billy a walk at all as it's so grim out there. Anyway, at around 6.30am I felt a cold wet nose prod my face and opened my eyes to find Billy staring at me. I asked him if he wanted to go into the garden and usually if he does he then runs off. Nothing. I asked him again and there was still no reaction so I thought I'd better take him downstairs.
I got out of bed and he jumped onto my pillow and curled up :o
Of course I was then wide awake so thought I might as well get up and take him out. The only other person we saw was the groundsman on the golf course.

Joe wants to go to Birmingham this afternoon so that's what we're up to later. I asked if he wanted to get something to eat at the German Market or go to Second Cup on New St for coffee and cake. Second Cup won (thankfully). The market is ridiculously busy on weekends so it's best avoided.

Ally, have a lovely day out!

Enjoy your shopping Di, and your chilli! We had that for dinner yesterday, made with beef I'd bought for a stew, and I did it in the pressure cooker. It was a bit of an experiment but worked really well!

Jo - I'm going to put on my big girl's pants next Sunday and brave the German market! :D

Is it really cold over there? Thinking about what to pack.

Morning all :)

Ally, that sounds fun, have a great time :)

Lissie, I do empathise :( Mine flared right up again recently, and I've had to go back on Lansoprazole, as nothing else was helping. Hope yours settles soon xx

It's dreary and damp here too Di :o Yum, chilli beef sounds delicious :) Not sure what we're having as yet again I forgot to get the spatchcocked chicken out of the freezer! Actually I might just pick one up fresh, while we're out for the papers, as I really fancy chicken today ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Ally, earlier this week we had THICK frost here and it was freezing, but the rain we have now has made it a bit warmer. Pack for winter hon xxxc

It's not cold at the moment, it's around 8-10C today, but is supposed to be getting colder next weekend.

We now try and leave the market until the week before Christmas, at night, as it always seems pretty quiet then.

Crafty Billy! What a dog. Enjoy the market Ally. A chilli sounds good Di, but I really fancy some roast lamb today like Lissie is cooking. Chicken for us too Kaz.

I had indigestion yesterday and felt a bit off it; probably from eating leftover party food from Friday night.

Dull and wet here too, but not as cold as it has been.

Morning Cromwell!

Just another thought Ally as I know you get the bus into town sometimes. Allow yourself extra time if you've got to be somewhere by a certain time. The roadworks around town are horrendous at the moment, especially in the Pagoda Island/Holloway Head area.
