Happy Christmas

Postby debih » 23 Dec 2017, 22:56

Just popping in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas

I do lurk occasionally but just don’t post. I will try to in the new year. Life is difficult at the moment - after an awful event last year (2016) Lucy was diagnosed with PTSD and most days are a struggle. That’s the main reason I don’t post - real life is a difficult at the moment and I just don’t have the energy.

But I do think about you all often and I will try to post again as I do miss you.

Real life just sometimes takes over doesn’t it. I’ve got to put her first and my down time tends to just be just to trying to be kind to myself and regathering my strength for the next day. Each day seems to be a trial at the moment.

But from me and mine, a very merry merry Christmas to you and yours. xxxxx

Thank you Ossie.

I’m going to be very frank as I do feel bad about my just disappearing. People just vanishing used to upset me.

But I feel slightly stronger now. Some of you already know, some of you don’t but I feel able to vocalise it now - after almost 16 months. And I know how hard it is when someone just disappears with no trace.

Last year Lucy was raped. We are getting there. Police involvement is finished, court sentencing is over. Counselling will be ongoing. She has changed schools, dropped down a year, rarely goes to lessons (from being an A*student 18 months ago) as she has horrific anxiety. Our hopes for her have changed from going to uni to finishing school without being excluded. The new school are amazing. Lucy is volatile often disappearing overnight when we don’t know where she is. She copes in her own 15 year old ways. I pick up the pieces. Mick struggles. Our marriage is at breaking at the moment but we will get her through it. My main priority is Lucy to the detrement of myself and everyone close to me. I have to prioritise her.

Shelby is doing ok. Struggling with what happened to her sister but coping. She’s doing very well in a public services course at the moment and looking at joining the army. Juggling life, work, children, husband and just being me is hard.

I just don’t have the energy to post - but not because you arent important to me.

Thank you Jo. That means a lot.

I do feel like I’ve abandoned you but I just needs to implode and pull myself in to myself to survive it all.

It’s surprised me how long it’s taken me to get to the point where I can vocalise it. I can’t avceot it. But I can talk about it and start to move forward.

Oddly enough, I was thinking of you this morning Debih and wondering how you were all doing. I was going to send a message on fb, but will do it here instead.

Sending over massive supporting and healing hugs to you all xx

Have as good a Christmas as you can and really hope the New Year bring more happiness for you all.

Feliz natan e beijinhos.

Debih I too think of you often and have wondered how you are doing but didn't like to intrude.
It's one hell of a thing to live with and through, for all of you.
I hope you manage to have a nice Christmas, and that the coming year sees improvement.
Lots of love to you xxx
