Cooker time

Postby cromwell » 02 Feb 2018, 13:27

The broken cooker at our son's home isn't actually broken, according to the man who came to fix it!
We thought the electric oven was broken. It wasn't - it's a gas oven.
It is a funny one though. Cookers normally are either all electric, all gas, or gas hob and electric oven.
This one is a gas hob, electric grill / second oven and a gas oven.

Oh well, the repairman's visit wasn't wasted - now we know how to turn the oven on!

Plus the repairman only charged us a tenner. It's a local firm and he's a really nice man. The big firms would charge you £40 - £50 just for the callout.

I shouldn't laugh really but at least you know I wouldn't have a clue wasn't there a book with the cooker
One thing if there is a gas or elective cut will it work

Crommers that has made my day  It's nearly on a par with the time I took the rescue Westie I had just adopted to be neutered. The vet lifted him onto the consulting table, looked at Henry, then looked at me with a puzzled express "Mrs Jackson, Henry has already been done!" :?
