Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 15 Aug 2018, 05:04

Good morning.

Hot. 8-) 8-)

Today is the feast day of the Assumption of Mary so a national holiday. :D

Jacob's coming over to take me out to lunch. It's my birthday tomorrow and he's off to Cadiz in the morning so a pre-birthday celebration it is. :D :D

Not sure what we're doing tonight but I would imagine it involves cold beers in an air-conditioned bar.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty over the hills but the sky is clear, so a lovely day later 8-)

Holiday here too :Hi: We won't have a visit to an air-conditioned bar later, they just shut the windows, close the blinds, shut the door. And if, if very hot, will get the 2 fans out

Washing machine on, will be dry in about an hour ;)

Think I'll be cleaning windows this morning. A lovely long swim this afternoon. Cold chicken and salad for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning :)
Cloudy but supposed to be sunny later.
We loved Cadiz Ally, could have done with longer than one day.

Bb's off today, probably his last Wednesday off, so we might go out somewhere.
Out for dinner later, to the Thai with eldest. He's down en route to some festival, but youngest is working and couldn't make any of the suggested dates.
We'll take him somewhere one day soon.

Have a good day all

Ejoy the trip to Cheltenham Kaz, and the Thai meal Di. The Iberian weather seems a teeny bit warmer than ours.

At a bit of a loose end here waiting for the garage to get back to us. If there's no progress I'll take Ria's advice and hire a car today. FiL has very kindly rug us up wittering about how much shopping he needs even though he knows we are car-less.

This afternoon I have an appointment to see the hip specialist. I'm hoping he'll say "Come in Crommers, I'm delighted to tell you you've won the lottery" but reckon it will be more like "Oh dear oh dear. Join the queue for a new hip". We'll see anyhow.

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.

Good morning all, sun and cloud here and very warm. Mr Osc just spilled half a pot of coffee in the kitchen  so we've been cleaning up the mess. Off to the gym in a while, then this afternoon we are going to a garden centre as Mr Osc wants to get Virginia creeper or similar for the wall on our terrace. It is actually the wall of the building behind us, but it is ugly. We already have wisteria on part of it, not convinced it is right but it was recommended. Better go and take out some money before going to the gym.

What you need is red cape honeysuckle Osc :D :D Fast growing, but trims off nicely.

If you see one, get one. They also come in yellow.

Tecomaria Capensis.

I'm after one for here, for the gap between us and next door, to stop them peeping :cute:

Good afternoon all, it can't decide whether to be dull or sunny here but the drizzle seems to have stopped for now anyway.

I've walked Billy (in the drizzle), done some shopping, hung out two loads of washing (not in the drizzle) and raked over the lawn and reseeded it in patches. It's come back beautifully in places after the lack of rain but there are patches (thanks to Billy) so I'm trying to sort those. Joe's in work, Tom's just gone to start his shift and John's up near Gal somewhere on a site visit. Newton Aycliffe I think?

Crommers, I hope you get some good news about the car and that the hospital appointment goes well

Kaz, hope your appointment goes well too xx
