Morning Ally and everyone

Misty just about gone and hoping for a warmer day than yesterday. Blue sky at the moment, with a few wispy clouds around.

Will vacuum and mop the floors then will go and find the decorations and put them up.

Have decided to make some dumplings for the stew, not had them in years.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Oh that reminds me Ally, that means our road here goes quiet, when the school closes! :D

Stew and dumplings, yum Jan :)

It's been raining but is clearing up now! Supposed to be going out for a coffee and chat with Sue next door, so hopefully it will stay dry :) I still have the wrapping to do - I was going to do it yesterday, but I got distracted clearing out and reorganising my kitchen cupboards and larder, then the freezers..... :? :x  Life in the fast lane  8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all

Jan, dumplings for the stew sound delicious; I've never made them myself - are they easy to do?
Kaz,that's the kind of thing I do, good intentions to do one thing and then get distracted by something else :D
Ally, hope you have a lovely day. How long are the holidays for you / the kids?

Well hoping for a usual / usual today. It's my colleague Hanna's last day so we'll have a glass of bubbles at some point this afternoon but I'm aiming to leave my usual time at 5.30. It's been another busy few days and what with train delays I've just been getting home later than I wanted.

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning all. A very quiet morning here, there's hardly been anyone about.
We babysat last night whilst Ellie and Lee went to a concert in Leeds. That child! She eventually settled down at 8.15pm and slept through til 6.30 this morning. She's crawling now (she can go like a rocket) and trying to stand up all the time. Lee and Ellie had a great time. They met up with some work colleagues in Leeds, who were well merry when they got there. Said couple took a train home at the end of the night. Unfortunately they fell asleep, went past their stop (Huddersfield) and woke up in Manchester! No idea how they got home.

Another one here!

Yes Ally, the last few months really have flown.

MrsC and her sister have gone to their dads, I need to get a move on and get to the shops.

Have a good day ll.

Good morning all, it's sunny here now after a very rainy start.

I got up early to walk Bill and it wasn't raining but by the time I'd got dressed and walked downstairs it was pouring down, which was contrary to the forecast at 1am. A quick walk around the estate had to suffice once it had stopped as by that time I needed to be home to wait for some parcel deliveries.

I'm trying to find some Christmas spirit, or any kind of spirit for that matter; Joe's come down with a cold which no doubt me and John will have by Christmas Day, I'm fed up of Tom to rolling his eyes when I ask him to do anything (like yesterday when I asked him to drop some bags into the charity shop opposite his work) or ask him a question (the eyeroll always comes with a response of "I don't know") or ask him to transfer his board money into our account (he's really not happy about paying board) and one of them has taken my iPod earbuds and are both denying doing it. I used them yesterday morning and I always leave them firmly attached to my iPod with the chord wrapped around the device, by last night all I had was the iPod. Both have form for this, last week it was John's shaver plug which went missing.

We were planning on going to the German Market tonight but I'm not sure I can be bothered now, plus more rain is forecast.

Anyway, enough of my moans...have a good day all!

Morning all, it's quite a pleasant mornng here. Off to the gym in a while, then this afternoon we will do our supermarket shop. Not too much extra to get as we are not hosting Christmas dinner, just providing the turkey which we will cook, and a smoked salmon terrine - Mr Osc made it last year and it was so popular that it has been requested again this year. Better make the list before I go to the gym.

Jo, it sounds like your foot needs to be put down again - that eye rolling thing used to drive me demented. Michael did it to me recently when he thought I wasn't looking, but was firmly told that I did see
