Good morning Ally and to you all.

It is very still again and looks to be brightening up into a fine day.

It is a dreaded paperwork day today with car tax and a few insurances to renew or get better quotes from other providers.

I hope you all get a good start to the new week. xx

Morning Ally, WM and everyone

A beeeeoootiful morning here 8-)

Hope everything goes as well as it can today Kaz xx

Washing machine on and we'll be heading outside after breakfast for more work on the garden. It's never ending   Also Grumpy needs to count blocks for the new store room ;) and work out how much cement and other stuff we need. Also gravel for a new path and for the side of the car port, which will need pots and succulents to make it look good 8-) And save me strimming the "grass" (weeds to you and me ;) )

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Thanks Ally, and Jan - her plane was delayed and she didn't get to her hotel until gone 11, so I was on messenger until late. I couldn't switch off until I knew she was safe and sound.

Hope you get your paperwork done Frank :)

WW this morning, there is still upheaval, but the short edited version is that the meeting is staying open, but we are changing venue, from next week! :?

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

I hope B is ok too Kaz. Good luck with the insurance Frank. I need a different car, our Honda welded Wendy is showing signs of wear and tear after fifteen years.
MrsC has a massive cold; she'll be staying in. I need to get out and about. I don't know what it is but recently everything has been too much trouble for me and I need to shake that off.
Have a good day all.

Hardly surprising Crommers, you've had a bad time of it recently. You both need a break - somewhere warm and relaxing. Do you like weeding???

Cold in the wind, but at least it'll blow dry the clothes on the line.

Good morning all, it's sunny and very Spring-like here.

I've walked Billy and there are two loads of washing now out on the line.

I'm now bracing myself to join Frank in getting some insurance quotes. Tom's bought himself a new car which he picks up on Saturday and before he and John went over to Solihull to look at it they looked at insurance quotes to make sure it wasn't going to be too much for him and they ranged from £590 to £765. The quote for his current insurer is £762 and he'd paid £700 in November to insure the 12 year old Clio he has now so it's not much difference. Anyway, John emailed them yesterday asking how much it'd be to just change the car on his current policy rather than going through the palaver of cancelling the current policy and taking out a new one and this morning he's had a reply. There's an admin charge of £19.50 which is usual...but they want an extra £584 on top of the £700 he's already paid to insure the car for the remainder of the policy which ends in November. A total over the year of £1284 compared to £762 if he was a new customer. They can whistle.

Hope all goes well for B and H today, Kaz xx

Hope Mrs C is feeling better soon Crommers, you need a change of scenery by the sounds of things xx

Have a good day all!

Morning all

Can't believe it's Monday already - the weekends are just flying by. I visited friends in Bexhill on Saturday and stayed the night; it was lovely to see them but it does feel like I've had no weekend time for myself. But then I think I'm also done withe the short days; I'm ready for it to be light early / late so I can pootle around outside. And because newbie cat Eli isn't allowed outside yet I've also got all the windows and doors and catflaps closed; I just want to throw open everything and get fresh air.

Oh well enough grumbling from me

Crommers it's no surprise at all that you're feeling that way - when was the last time you (and Mrs C) did something for yourselves because you could. If you read back to the various good morning posts you're ALWAYS doing something for someone and a lot of it quite hard work; and IMHO it always seems rather onesided. It's beyond time that you and Mrs C took time out for yourselves and let others deal with things themselves xx

Thinking of B & H today

A usual / usual for me so nothing exciting to report. Have a lovely day all xxx

Crommers, I totally agree with all that Ria has said here!

We can't tempt you to a day out in Birmingham in the Summer can we?

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Another one agreeing it's time you and Mrs.C had a break Crommers.

We had intended to pop into town on Friday, but decided against because of the rain. No excuse today, so will be off out shortly.

Hope you all have a good day :D
