Good morning all, it's sunny here.

I've just got back with Billy, in time to see Joe before he headed off to college. He's coming to the end of his course now. Tom's in work later.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

I take it there were lots of onions then Jan? ;)

Jen I'm so pleased that you're having a lovely relaxing time, you certainly deserve it after everything :) xxx

Morning Jo, it's sunny here too :)

I'm supposed to be meeting D in town at lunchtime, but this cold and sore throat that's been threatening for a few days has kicked in, so I think I'll have to cry off

Have a good day, everyone :) xx

Morning all

Kaz; sorry you're not feeling well - but it makes sense to cry off. Not only better for you to stay home and take it easy; but you also don't want to pass on the lurgy to D
Jen, glad you're having a good relaxed time - enjoy every minute of it
Jan, how many onions do you usually plant? And enjoy your dinner; I do like a bit of onion gravy - yum!
Jo, enjoy whatever it is you're up to today

Such an absolutely beautiful morning here today; just lovely. We have a board meeting here today so will have a lovely bit of left over board lunch and then home at normal time. It's the only evening this week I'll be home normal time so I'll be getting out there to water and maybe even mow the lawn beforehand (if I have that much energy).

Have a lovely day all xx

Enjoy the beach Jen! I hope your hip has improved a little. Get well soon Kaz, Ria is right, best to stay at home and rest up a bit. Jan, another nice dinner! It's a glorious morning here too Ria. Sunny and warm with a light breeze.
What does Joe fancy doing once he's finished his course Jo?
Sainsbury's this morning, Horbury this afternoon to visit Mrsc's auntie in a sort of council recouperation home. Poor old Violet seems to have got stuck in the system. She's had one procedure and refused another but she's been in hospital etc so long that the carers she had at home have been re-assigned to other people and they are struggling to get some more for her. So she's stuck where she is and a bit fed up now, I think.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a lovely sunny morning here but of course, there is rain forecast for later. We have Kellie this morning, she has a very heavy cold so Miss Osc kept her out of school, and the childminder is away. She is in quite good form though. Michael will come here from school and Miss Osc will collect them about 3.30. Same tomorrow, although Kellie might be back in school by then. I’ll do as much ironing as a certain small girl will allow, as it would take my attention from her ;) and Edward is going to play golf.

Crommers, he's done engineering for three years and he's recently been applying for jobs and apprenticeships but so far he's not had any responses. Ideally he'd like to do what John does and work in design, he did his work experience in John's office and thoroughly enjoyed it and John said he'd got a talent for it. The unfortunate thing is that John's actually looking for an apprentice draughtsman but they're leaning more towards taking a university graduate, plus he said he'd rather Joe got a job under his own steam which I totally understand. They've had people in other departments give jobs to their sons before and it's never really worked out.

Poor Auntie Violet! I hope she's soon settled.

Kaz, I hope you're feeling better soon xx Kellie too!

Ria, it's turned into a window cleaning and (yet more) washing day so not that enjoyable I'm afraid  Enjoy lunch, and let's hope you have some energy left!

We plant about 200 Ria

They're sold in bunches of 100 and as we like red and white onions, we get a bunch of each.

Sun in and out, hiding behind clouds. It's warm, hot, then chilly when the wind picks up. I've left the cover on the pool

Done all the spraying and a lot of weeding, so now it's sit down for 10 minutes, then do the prep for dinner.

Not had chips and cabbage before, but I need to use it up, so it's pasty, chips, cabbage and lots of onion gravy    I did suggest mash, but was shouted down

Poor Aunt Violet, hope she settled in somewhere soon Crommers.

I tried an antihistamine, I think it's hayfever! That sorted me out so I went after all. Dammit though, I haven't had hayfever for years
