Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 01 Jun 2019, 05:23

Moring everyone

Another lovely start to the day, lovely and fresh. Hotter later ;)

Tempted to do some strimming this morning - how weeds can grow so fast is beyond me, but some of them are quite tall already, so I can do that and Grumpy can carry on doing whatever to the new store room.

Also going to make a version of favas, as I took the wrong meat out of the freezer yesterday   I really should label things

A long cooling swim later -the water is now a very pleasant 28C :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone

A beautiful morning here and promising to be a lovely hot day. Waiting for Sainsbury's delivery and then heading out to do a few things. Then back to pootle in the garden before heading over to Karl and Nadine's for a BBQ. Tomorrow will be allotment day so another perfect weekend as far as I'm concerned :D

Jan, why label things - UFO's make life a lot more interesting :D Curious if Mr Policeman does pop round to next door today re the dog...

Have a lovely day everyone and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Could be any time this week-end Ria.

They have friends staying in the rental part of the house and they are quite near to where the dog is kept.

I've done what watering was needed, had a coffee sat outside listening to the birds, have slapped some sun cream on and will head off to do some strimming for 8.00 start.

Back for fried egg butties for breakfast 8-) I will need that swim later ;)

Was thinking of Ally this morning and hoping we'll hear from her soon xx

Morning Jan, morning Ria. Enjoy your respective swim and bbq!
It's warm here this morning but cloudy; it could rain I think.
MrsC has gone shopping with daughter, the washing is on and that's about it. I need to make a beef stew for tonight. we're having Eliza to sleep over so fingers crossed for a good night because she is teething a little.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it is dull and dreary here, wouldn't you know it is a bank holiday weekend  Up since 7am and shortly we will head off to bring Kellie to her dance class. After that we’ll go to the nearby shopping centre to have a little wander around and a bit of lunch. Big footie match tonight!!

Good morning!

It's quite dull here at the moment and there was a bit of rain in the air when I walked Bill earlier, it's warm though. I'm off to get some bread and fruit shortly, John's going to be fiddling around with the outside tap as the water pressure to it is poor, making it unusable, so he thinks it needs a different kind of valve. We need to call in and see my parents too, my Dad's bought a new TV recorder and needs it setting up. We do laugh though, it's a replacement for one that's broken and they like to have two running, each of which can record two programmes at once, so they still have one that's working but it's not enough. I honestly don't know how they find that many things they want to watch

Tonight we're off for a meal with Shannon and her parents as it's S's birthday next week. It's a bit of a pain in the backside to be honest. At Christmas they suggested meeting up for a meal and we met up at a half way point. Tom's Birthday came around, I was about to book a restaurant locally when he asked if he could invite her parents so I had a rethink of restaurants and booked somewhere midway between both of us to be fair to them. For this meal they've booked a table at a pub three minutes walk from their house, meaning that we've got a 2.5 hour round trip :?

Crommers, I'd get a nap now if I were you

Have a good day all! xx

Morning all :)

Jan you need the flamethrower weed destryer that D bought for getting weeds out of her drive! Lethal with it, she is  ;)

Jo that does seem thoughtless on their part :?

Crommers have you got some Calpol in for Eliza? It works wonders on the pain and slight fever from teething xx

Ria, your weekend sounds great - enjoy! :D :D

Just been to FatFighters aka Slimming World ;) No Becks today as she's working. I lost a pound, which was good - not to mention miraculous :P   Currently having brunch in Corretto's 8-) Round to see D in a while :)

Love to all :) xx

That's a bit selfish of them Jo :cute: :cute:

Strimming took 2 hours  I was going to do the banks, but it was getting rather warm, so stopped. They'll do, the weeds and grasses will dry and die soon anyway.

Might think of a flamethrower for the gravel Kaz, but it's looking good at the moment. And well done on losing another pound :Hi:

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny here 8-)

Well as you see, we're completely back to normal, had a nice long lie in  Yesterday's shopping trip was okay, managed to get round without too much pain. Both the ankle and hip are still sore, not doing too much today, general pottering around the house.

Have a good day :D
