Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 29 Aug 2019, 23:31

Good morning!

Forgive the extremely early in the day post but we didn't see last night!

Kitchen blokes finished around 5pm....Don and I have since cleaned up (not as messy as I feared I have to say) and we've just stopped at 1am.

I am IN LOVE with my new kitchen. Delighted. Overjoyed. It is beautiful. :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

Tomorrow (glad the stores here don't open till 10am  ) and we'll be back looking at a choice of two lots of tables and chairs. I prefer one...Don the other. We'll see. ;) ;) ;)

Out with David tonight....finalising the Portugal yomping details. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, quiet morning and quite warm already. supposed to be cooling down, but we're hotting up  8-) 8-)

Glad you're happy with the kitchen Ally, pics please :D :D and enjoy planning your trip over here :D :D

Watering done to the background noise of cowbells and rather noisy sheep

Cooking head on this morning. Making curry for tomorrow and for the freezer and also the white bean and black bean hot salads, for the freezer, for when son and wife come over. Don't want to spend all my time in the kitchen, whilst they're out enjoying myself ;)

Won't be doing a lot else, will be too hot. Long swim in the pool and that's about it. A few beers sat on the back terrace before dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's sunny and a warm day is forecast.

I've walked Billy and now I'm back waiting for a parcel, just some wax melts I ordered. Tom hasn't got any plans today yet and Joe's in work later. John's hoping to be back from Sunderland tonight, he's been sending photos of the view from his hotel - it's right next door to the Stadium of Light.

Me and Tom called around to take Grace's birthday presents last night. Grace ran straight out to Tom and was giving him plenty of information about the school he'll be training at, she's just about to start her second year there. She asked him what'll happen if she calls him Tom rather than Mr McDonnell  It'll be strange for them both, Grace was a day old when Tom first met her!

We then went to Halfords (or rather he did, I went to Dunelm) and he bought a dashcam. I walked Bill when we got back and was glad I thought to take my torch with me. I planned to have a Derry Girls night when I got home but I did some more jobs when I got back, made some coffee and promptly fell asleep

Glad the wedding went well Cruiser!

Al, you and Don sound like me and John  He still isn't keen our kitchen table, over eight years later, and always looks at different ones whenever we go in Ikea. I love it though. I'm glad I got my way, the one he preferred wouldn't have looked right ;)

Have a good day all!

Morning all - the weather can't quite make up it's mind yet; sunny then cloudy then sunny then cloudy but either way not very warm :( I'm having a lazy moprning and will be heading off to the allotment in a bit for a good tidy. Need to have some breakfast first though and also another cuppa.. Then later this evening heading over to Karl and Nadine for dinner and to pick up some bits and bobs of mine that they took home in their luggage.

Picked up the chickens yesterday from their holiday camp - they are such a funny lot and very glad to be home I think. Eli is delighted that his four Sunday roasts are back as well

The gas man came yesterday; and what a lovely chap he was - fussed the cats, fed the chickens and proceeded to tell me that the problem with the boiler wasn't half as bad as I was originally told and managed to fix it all in about an hour. I was told it'd be a full day job so I'm very very glad it wasn't. Admittedly I do need to switch on the heating and let it run for a while to make sure it really is all 100% but the guy assured me it was - some expansion vessel balloon thing that just needed to be inflated again, apparently they do deflate from time to time; a fairly common thing to happen? Who knows - I'll believe him :D

Hope you all have a wonderful day, whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all :)

Came into town very early to get my hair cut. Can you believe that when I arrived, 5 minutes after the salon opened, Shireen was already cutting one person's hair, and had 4 people waiting?  I go to Supercuts as Shireen is a brilliant hairdresser, but I do wish they ran an appointment system, instead of " first come, first served" :cute: I'll try again next week

So now I'm hanging around in town waiting for B to join me - she had an early gym PT session, so is coming in at about 11.

Had a text to say the Passport Office have received my application and old passport. The new photo is a shocker, and in colour now instead of the old B&W :? :P My old one ran out next March, and I know you need at least 6 months left on them these days to travel to a lot of places, so I thought I would get it done. In case I win the lottery, and run away to the sun :P

Lovely to have you back, Ria :D Your holiday sounded lovely :D

Love to all :) xxx
