Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and not a breath of wind. Bliss 8-)

Will carry on weeding the veg plot later, it actually got too hot yesterday, we were both leaking and backs aching, so we gave up. The weeds are still here though

Also have ironing to do, wander down to water the new plants by the gate and then back at the weeding again

Last of the leftover curry tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. It's windy here too Cruiser. Steady away with the back Jan, don't do too much.
Shortly we are taking FiL for a memory test at some place called a well being centre. If they asked him about the innings of Don Bradman he'd be able to give them chapter and verse.
After that we will see Lee and Eiza this afternoon and I'll fit a quick visit to Sainsbo's in.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :)

Not doing much until this afternoon - no lunch with D today, as she's attending an aquaintance's funeral.

I have a hair appointment at 2.15, same stylist (Shireen) new salon as Supercuts closed down last month. Another high street name hitting the dust  She's moved to a salon in Hucclecote, a mile or so further out of town from here.

I'll get the bus - I would walk but I have quite bad sciatic pain going down one leg at the moment. I gave Zumba a miss last night because of it.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s sunny but cold here. I think I have a cold coming on - yesterday I brought the car to a repair place where they found a broken coil spring and I had to leave it there to be collected today. That meant a 15 minute walk to the train station where I just missed a train and had to wait 20 minutes for the next one - it was bitterly cold and I was frozen by the time I got home. Today I am going into town to meet someone for lunch, an American woman who is a friend of an acquaintance, she has just come to live in Dublin and my acquaintance thought it would be nice for us to meet up. I’ll collect the car on the way home.

Morning all - just a quick pop in to say hello. Waiting for a chap to arrive with a bunch of laptops - we're replacing all our work computers with laptops and docking stations. They were meant to be here at 10.30 but the driver called a few minutes ago to say he couldn't find us; his office had given him a wrong address. I'm not overly impressed with this company as it is (all arranged by our head office in the US) but this just does prove how bad they are! So now expecting him in the next 15 or so minutes only - sigh.

Didn't get to do the cooking last night as hoped; I ended up going to a meeting of the parish council as they were discussing a few new property development plans that will have a huge impact on our area; sadly a very small turnout but still - it was very informative and I'll definitely be putting in my objections where they are reasonable. Sadly the development has got the green light but we can dry limit the damage that will be done to the environment.

Have a lovely day everyone xx

The weather can't seem to make up its mind, one minute overcast and right now bright sunshine, oh and a spot of rain thrown in :?

Take it easy Jan.
How did the memory test go Crommers?
Hope the sciatica clears soon Kaz.
Enjoy lunch Osc.
Hope the laptops turn up and everything is sorted without too much hassle Ria.

Not much happening here, a bit of house stuff and general pootling.

Hope you all have a good day :D

The memory test was not too bad Jen. He didn't know it was Tuesday but knew that England had beaten South Africa at cricket!
FiL has been diagnosed with vascular dementia, which can happen after a stroke. We had more or less guessed this as his symptoms were very similar to my late mums when she had a mini stroke.
But in himself he seems pretty good. Not confused at all.
