Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 17 Mar 2020, 07:22

Good morning.

Forecast sunny all day with a few showers this evening. We could really do with some rain.

I'm going to walk to Lidl and get a few bits just like I did yesterday. The guardia civil were out in force yesterday  and actually stopped me to ask where I was going and if it was essential I was out. I explained I was shopping for some elderly neighbours. They asked to see in my rucksack and asked where my shopping carrier bags were. :o I said I preferred carrying things on my back than walking with heavy bags on my arms. That's fine they said but go straight home when you've finished. Like I was going to hang around! :?

The rest of the day will be spent pootling, which I'm happy to do, and swim. By the end of these 2 weeks I'll have shoulders like an Amazon woman.

Have a great day.

It's St Patrick's Day so those that do enjoy if you can.

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but not warm  Might even get some wet stuff today :Hi:

Small pile of ironing to get through and I'll head outside, as long as it stays dry, to do some weeding that I couldn't do in yesterdays hooley.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

Lovely sunny day.
Had a phone call last night to say our dancing is canclled probably till after Easter. This means we will be staying home on Tuesdays and every other Saturday.

Going shopping this morning. We like fresh food. There is a stall in our local market which sells good meat not wrapped in plastic.
THen just pootling. May mow the lawn if it stays dry.
Have a good day everybody.

I got me wand out and merged you both, hope it didn't hurt! :P ;)

Morning you two, and everyone :) Ally that's a bit scary, but at least the advice there is clear - it's very half-arsed here! Advising the public to avoid pubs and restaurants, but not ordering them to close, for instance :? :?: :|

I have ironing too Jan :cute:

Be careful Cruiser xxx

I will be visiting D today, but won't be going into town first, trying to keep her as safe as possible. No Zumba last night, all classes cancelled for the foreseeable future. Sensible really as at least a quarter of the class is elderly. Not heard anything from our Pilates instructor yet, but as she's 7 months pregnant I would be surprised not to :?

Stay safe and well, everyone ❤ xxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We're still in limbo with our holiday, although the advice is only essential travel, the Foreign Office is still not advising against travel to Barbados and their PM is still saying peeps from the UK are welcome. I think it's just a matter of time before that changes tbh so not too concerned about getting refunded, our travel insurance certainly won't cover us for non essential travel.

We're popping into town in an hour or so, I need to set up delivery for our prescriptions. Will try to get more fruit and veg while we're there.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, it is not too bad a day here. I’d like to go for a walk but am waiting for a phone call to let me know if my surgery is going ahead tomorrow. The consultant’s secretary phoned yesterday to say that the consultant was having meetings yesterday about cases but that things are changing daily. She said she wanted me to know she had not forgotten me, which was nice, and that if she didn’t get back to me yesterday, she would phone today even though it is a public holiday. Jen, the company with whom we had booked our Budapest trip decided yesterday to cancel trips and offer refunds  They are getting lambasted on FB for their inflexible approach last week when people like us were ringing with real issues.

This day 19 years ago, St Patrick's Day had also been cancelled because of foot and mouth and that is the day I joined Femail - so today is the 19th anniversary of the start of my internet career :D
