Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 16 May 2020, 05:53

Good morning.

Nice again. :D

A run first then back to read our new freedom boundaries as moving into phase 1 was approved last night. :Hi:

From Monday we will be able to do so much more outside in the real world! :Hi:

Lazing by the pool with my book is the norm at the moment and today won't be any different.

My personal chef is doing something Thai tonight and we have Eton mess for dessert. :D

Zoom time with the boys early evening. :D

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Hazy at the moment, as the fog is still around but we might just be in for a rather sunny day. Also forecast a thunderstorm, but we've been promised them all week and we only had one yesterday - lasted an hour - a lot of rain and I missed GBM :(

Late start as we both had a rubbish nights sleep the night before but made up for it last night

Treating ourselves to a cooked breakfast this morning then I'll try and work it off by doing the housework ;)

We'll pop down to our nice neighbours house this afternoon, top up the solar batteries, water the inside plants, check everything else and then sit down with a beer and admire their view :D

We have more things opening on Monday too. All with strict limitations, but bars and restaurants can now open. Think we'll be giving restaurants a swerve for the foreseeable future, but will be good to sit outside the bar and people watch 8-)

Leftover curries for dinner and I'll make some samosas to go with it.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.
Sun and cloud here, quite warm.
MrsC to her dad's soon, I need to pay the gas and electric bills.
Sergio brought us some pasta over yesterday; Eliza took one look at him and burst into tears! Ah well, you can't win 'em all.
Had a long chat on the phone with my brother last night. He's well fed up. He volounteers at Elvington airfield near York where they have an air museum. He just got an email saying that post-covid they aren't going to be having any volounteers, Plus he's fed up with the lock down, as we all are.
On the Horror channel last night I watched an original episode of Star Trek. They all looked so young!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, happy Saturday

Crommers, that's odd given volunteers don't cost money. I'd have thought they'd be happy to have people helping and not expecting payment - unless it's an insurance issue to do with social distancing / covid etc? But rather odd. And yes I think a lot of people are getting fed up with this lock down. They really need to get people tested for antibodies asap.... if you've got them you get a health certificate and on you go with normal life. I was reading somewhere / heard somewhere that apparently 40% of the population will have had the virus and not know that they had; so they'd probably have the antibodies. So take them, plus all those that have had it confirmed and that would be a huge part of the population that can and could go back to work. Says me, who is quite happy working from home :D and is in no rush to go back to commuting 5 days a week

Ally, how much more will you be able to do?
Jan - yay, the bar is open again..... will you still have to do social distancing as well or can you all sit around the table as you do?
Cruiser, the weather here can't make up it's mind either - sunny, then cloudy, then sunny...... and not very warm, but perfect for pootling in the greenhouse.

I have a 4pm Zoom call with a group of friends. One was meant to get married today but obviously everything is now postponed. So instead she's having a virtual hen party. The wedding was very small, only 10 people (family only plus 2 friends as witnesses - that's it) and she didn't have a hen party as she doesn't like them. So today everyone will be sipping on a cuppa with a slice of cake - and me; well I'll be having a glass or two of bubbles :D

Plan for the morning is to pot up some more of the veg plants; I bought some new shelving for the greenhouse so now have more space - yay!!! Have some plants to give away so will drop them off in the course of the day as well.

Tomorrow will be a fairly full day at the allotment; hoping to get the last of the grass lifted so the entire plot is then clear and at maintenance level only - that will be lovely.

Have a wonderful day today everyone xx

Morning all, cloud and sun here, Edward is already practising his golf across the road. We also enter Phase One on Monday, the main highlight for Edward is the reopening of golf courses, although you have to be a member and live within 5km of the course plus there are strict social distancing rules. I’m also hoping to meet up with my sister for her birthday on Monday, as it will be possible meet up with friends and family from other households. We’ve no plan for today (no change there then  ), I’ll do a tidy up and I’m sure a walk will happen.

Morning all :D

Lovely bright and sunny here 8-)

We're hoping the crowds stay away from our beaches too Saundra. People rushing to Margate are running a big risk, Cliftonville it's next door neighbour has the highest death rate in Thanet.

Poor E's in a lot of pain, it's always there, but he's having a couple of really bad days. I had to help him get dressed this morning. We were planning to sit out in the garden this afternoon, but I don't think he's up to that today. Honestly neither of us have minded lockdown, our lives haven't changed that much, but it does bother me it's delaying his op :(

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Early SW meeting today - B has now lost over 7st and just over the 100lb mark! I am so proud of her :D Not quite as proud of myself, as I've put a couple back on

Ria, I feel the same about testing, and the possibile numbers affected. That needs rolling out asap!!

Jen, so sorry about Ed, it must be horrible to see him in pain like that :( Let's hope his op won't be too long, once things improve xx

*Waves to all* xxxx
