Postby Ally » 17 May 2020, 05:41

Good morning.

Going to be really hot so I'm off for my walk before it does.

Lazing by the pool with my book this afternoon.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Hazy over the hills but the sun is out and we're looking forward to a warm day,

Hopefully, the sun will warm the water in the pool in a few days and we can get in again. It was 21C in there yesterday, not a hope of either of us getting in

Down to our nice neighbours this morning, with tools, wd40 and grease. Their solar tracker is making a screeching noise - we can hear it from here  - so hopefully, that will sort it out.

Back for some weeding and prepping for dinner. Roast chicken tonight and this will be the last roast for a while. Too hot.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all :)

Sounds good Ally :)

Jan, hope the pool warms up :)

I hope it warms up here too! We were promised temps in the low to mid 20s by this weekend, but we have that high white cloud and it's cool. No real plans for today, other than stripping and changing the beds.

Take care everyone :) xx

Yes Kaz, the forecast has let us down!
Sunny, cloudy and cool here. Chicken for dinner.
Daughter and Eliza will come down in a while and that's about it for the day.
One of our neighbours has a friend working in the local surgery who insists that there hasn't been one case of the virus in the village. Another has a sister working as a nurse in the local hospital who is convinced that they had cases there before Christmas.
Have a good day and stay safe everyone.

Morning all, it is overcast here with no sign of the sun. Edward is already across the road practising his golf. We don’t know if there is a Zoom dance class this afternoon, haven’t heard yet. I’m just about to hang out a wash and have some bedding to iron. Life is so exciting!!

Good morning, it’s sunny and quite warm here.

I had a long walk with Billy first thing, there’re definitely less people around now. The exercise novelty seems to have worn off.
I might make a carrot cake today, and toad in the hole has been requested for dinner. We’ll walk Bill again this evening and I’ll go for a run later tonight.

Crommers, there have been a few articles recently haven’t there about people displaying symptoms before Christmas. Both me and John had horrendous sore throats and dry coughs which dragged on for over a month back in early February and if we had the same symptoms a month or so later we’d have been convinced that we’d got Covid. It was totally untypical for a cold virus to affect me that way, it’s usually my nasal passages and sinuses that suffer yet I had none of that.

Have a good day all!

Just heard from Michael that he is organising a family Houseparty quiz this evening, so that will be fun.

Jo, there are so many people who had bad “doses” just after Christmas, I’m convinced the virus has been around longer than we knew.

Really rather warm now.

Grumpy is now calling himself a solar technician   He sorted out the squeek by using a lubricant on tall the moving parts.

Just going to cool down, then head back outside, with a hat on, to do some tidying up. I've already done some weeding, but that was at the nice neighbours place.

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine here 8-)

Well poor E's still hobbling with the aid of my old hospital walking stick, I kept forgetting to take it back, thank goodness I did. He's not quite as bad as yesterday so hopefully it will ease a bit more as the day goes on. Not much happening today, I need to get out in the garden for a bit of weeding later, we'll see. Roast chicken for dinner later. Choccie blancmange with orange jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
