Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 11 Jun 2020, 05:52

Morning everyone

Lovely, fresh morning and will warm up nicely later. Although we're in for a few cooler days, which will be pleasant 8-)

Will be outside soon, salting the areas for the gravel and also extending one path a little. Then back to the ironing I've been putting off for a few days.

Pootling for the rest of the day :D

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Forgot to say, Happy Birthday to Don, Ally xx

Happy birthday Mr Ally! Morning Jan. Wish it was a lovely morning here Jan, it's grey and chilly.
Eliza is due shortly plus Dobby the dog. Our daughter is having their garage converted into a room.
I'm not really sure why houses have garages now, half of the garages are too small to get a car into.
A feel slightly hung over-ish this morning which is a mystery, because I was sober last night.
Have you managed to incarcerate Eli the bad cat Ria? :D
Have a good day all.

Good morning, it’s raining heavily and very windy. The forecast is for 40mph winds later this afternoon.

I walked Bill before that rain started. John’s gone into the office today, for lunch he’d usually take something I’d batch cooked and microwave it but I’ve made him a cheese salad panini instead and he’s taken some bottles of water and put it all in a coolbag so that he’s not sharing the kitchen with anyone. There’ll only be the three of them in anyway. Everyone else is still furloughed.

Joe’s in work and Tom’s doing some coursework.

Crommers, there’s a street on our estate which has two terraces of three houses and in between the terraces is a drive and a garage which one house is ‘lucky’ to have, except the drive is only just wide enough for a car to be parked on but isn’t wide enough for both the driver and passenger doors to open.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it is cloudy and windy here - I heard hailstones during the night  Our grocery order arrived, bit of a muddle. I saw him driving up the street, went down to open the door and he wasn’t there! I could see he was parked further up the street, then he rang me and asked where the house was, said he had been off for a week and couldn't remember where everywhere was :? (I said “beside the Abbey Tavern” he said “where’s that again?”) His list was wrong so he didn’t take out the full order until I said we were missing loads and he looked again. Our icecream was just not there at all, even though it was on the receipt, and I gave him back the washing powder substitute. However, he says the icecream will be delivered later today. We did get some gorgeous strawberries.

Otherwise no plan for the day, I did all the ironing yesterday and feel rather tired today, so I intend tackling the nice pile of books I got from the library on Tuesday. Also my sister said she would call in this afternoon.

Morning all :D

Started off wet, but the sun's trying to come out now.

Happy Birthday to Don, what have you planned for the day Ally?
Hope your ice cream turns up as promised Osc.
Good luck with the Morrisons order Saundra. You must be delighted with the new rules, means you can now have proper visits and hugs with your son and Scarlett :D

Had a lovely surprise from eldest daughter and family yesterday, it's a card with a felt cut out on the front saying 'hug in a card'. Can't tell you how much we appreciated it. Keeping our fingers tightly crossed the figures continue to go down and it isn't too long before we can all see our families.

I fully intended to blitz the rest of the house yesterday, but in the end got stuck into a book   Let's see what happens today.........

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon everyone :)

I've been shopping, as usual, then Mick and I dropped D's round to her and stayed for a cuppa :) D went out for her first walk since lockdown began, just up the lane that runs behind her house, past the tennis courts, but she said it felt great :) I'm relieved as I've been trying to persuade her out since the rules changed last week 8-) Sadly the bubble stuff doesn't apply to her either Saundra, isn't it a shame? :? xxx

Love to all xxx
