Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 16 Jun 2020, 04:37

Good morning.

Hot. Really hot. But it's to be expected.

Off for my walk, back for a swim then getting ready to go food shopping. Only some fruit, veg and a chicken.

I still haven't watched last week's Sewing Bee  which I must do today.

Chilling tonight with some TV. :D

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cloudy  this morning, but still pleasant.

We're off on a jolly this morning :Hi: :Hi: Down to the Algarve to spend a lot of money in Iceland/Waitrose  I've got a couple of things to get for Mitchell, so will drop them off on our way home.

Other than that, not a lot this afternoon. A swim probably.

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Going shopping this morning. Taking a paor of shoes to be repaired then to a stall in the market to get freshly cut cooked meat and roast potatoes.
They are delicious.

Then just pootling. Was hoping to mow the lawn but it is too wet after the heavy rain yesterday afternoon and night.
Have a god day everybody.

Morning all :)

Ally I have all sorts waiting for me to catch up with on the players - I really must get round to it

Jan I got an Iceland delivery on Sunday, our Iceland is in town and I haven't been into town since early March and don't fancy it just yet. I was amazed to get a slot so easily and quickly :)

We have similar weather Cruiser :?

Muggy weather here, extremely muggy and that will make Zumba a struggle, but hey ho! Then off to see D later, via the Co-op :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all.
Very grey and muggy here too. The rain has certainly greened up the lawn though. I actually ordered a new nozzle attachment for the hosepipe and the day it arrived the hot dry weather ended! Enjoy zumba Kaz.
We are all sorted here. I wouldn't mind a trip to the shops either Cruiser and Jan, just to get out but I have no reason to go.
Drew some money out of the atm yesterday, the first time since March!
I'll use it at the petrol station, I don't like using a card there or in restaurants.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, I’ve remembered to check in today

It’s dull and muggy here, my hair is really hating it. John, Tom and Joe have been fine because they’ve got me to cut their hair but mine’s just getting bushier and longer.

Anyway, I’ve got the house to myself today. John and Joe are both at work and Tom’s gone to meet up with Shannon. Bill had an early walk and I’m waiting for an Amazon delivery but Joe’s messaged me to say he’s had a notification that it’s not due until between 3 and 6. There’re also some parcels due via Royal Mail but heaven only knows when they’ll turn up. Something posted first class last Tuesday hasn’t come yet.

We’ve got another stormy evening forecast. It didn’t quite reach us last night but we could see the skies over Birmingham being lit up.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning - quite nice outside now after being a bit muggy earlier. No rain forecast so have been out doing a bit of watering.

Master O gifted me a "Tomato Growbar" last Christmas, so I soaked the coconut fibre medium in which the seeds were inserted a few weeks back, and left them on a windowsill, where they've happily germinated. Yesterday I planted them on into pots (well, old Pot Noodle pots actually   ) and put them outside. There were supposed to be 15 plants, but somehow I've finished up with 19! Some of the seedlings are small and probably won't develop, but most are a good size, and anyway 19 cherry tomato plants is overkill for us anyway. There are supposed to be 3 varieties, including a yellow one, but there's no way to identify which is which! As the Good Book says, "By their fruits ye shall know them" ….

Otherwise, painting continues apace and Ossie has been summarily evicted from his room this week. So this is posted from our Ancient Laptop, which is seeing its first real use in years. I have even managed to connect the printer to it!

I'm a bit loathe to use anything other than cash in garages, Crommers; a number of years ago, there was big cloning scam at a large (Shell?) petrol station in Balsall Common near where we lived in Birmingham and I've been very wary ever since. A camera was set up to capture your PIN as well as the machine cloning your card details - it was all very organised / sophisticated …. :| I haven't put any petrol in the car since mid-March and I've still got 3/4 tank left!

Have a good day, all

Tesco delivery slots have been easier to get recently too. They opened up July 13th online at Midnight and nearly 12 hours later the only time slot that’s unavailable is 8-9am.
