Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 17 Aug 2020, 04:06

Good morning.

Set to be mighty fine again. :D

I had the most fabulous birthday yesterday.
Even though Don and our 3 boys had all booked flights to be with me but thanks to Covid and Scottish quarantine rules it all had to be cancelled, video chats with them, my darling sis and dad, along with various cousins, made sure I had the best day possible. I felt very loved and special. :cute:
Oh and our Ria does a mean rendition of Happy Birthday. Thanks again Ria... I loved it. So did dad. :D

Today has me visiting 3 lots of aunties and uncles as well as laying some flowers at my grans (mum's mum) grave.

Out to dinner tonight with my cousin Ryan and his wife Nicola.

Have a great day. X

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Grey and cloudy start but it's warm.

Glad you had a good day yesterday Ally x

Washing should be done this morning, but the washing machine is playing up again  and I'm not really in the mood to sort it out. I'll have another look later.

Grumpy will be adapting the back of the new bench, as I said, all along, that I didn't want the back upright, but that is how he's made it. So now he has to change it :cute:

Apart from swearing at the washing machine not sure what I'll be doing. I'll think of something.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

I am having a break from ironing. Having to do it as mrs.e has had a fall. We were out shopping on Saturday morning. Walking along one of the streets in the centre of town when she tripped on a flag and fell down. She has a lovely black eye and her left elbow is badly bruised.
Phoned for an ambulance and went to the local hospital. She had several X-rays and other tests. It was 3.00 p.m when we got home with her left arm in a sling.
But at 6.00 p.m she said she couldn't stand the pain so it was back to the hospital.
Saw another doctor who said she may have a very small facture in the elbow or arm. Applied a better sling and gave her pain killing tablets. She has to sleep on her back.
Hopefuly rest may improve things. If not we will phone a number we have been given for advice.
So may not post for a few days.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny, hope I'm not speaking too soon, but the storms seem to have bypassed us.

Glad you had a lovely birthday Ally.
Hope it's nothing serious with the washing machine Jan.
Oh dear Cruiser, hope she's feeling better soon xx

We're up extra early as E has an appointment with our GP, more pre op stuff, blood tests, ECG and swab for MRSA. He doesn't have to be there until 11.45, but I didn't want a big rush, allowing plenty of time for brekkie etc. I have to wait in the car so will take my kindle to pass the time.

If the weather stays like this expect we'll spend the rest of the day lazing in the garden.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

i hope all the pre-op stuff goes smoothly Jen, and that mrsE recovers soon Cruiser; that sounds like a nasty fall.
your birthday does sound like a special day Ally.
Nothing whatsoever going on here. When you look forward to a trip to B and M you realise how dull your life has become!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s dull and dreary here and cooler. Edward headed off to the golf club, but there is steady drizzle now so I’d say he will be home early. I have made a dental appointment for us both in a couple of weeks, been putting it off but feel safer now. I also phoned TK Maxx to see if they are taking charity bags, as I am hoping to make a visit to that shopping centre this week, even though I will feel a bit nervous. We are planning a nice lunch out in town for next week, but will wait and see before booking, in case there is a government tightening of restrictions today as Ireland is experiencing a spike :( Miss Osc sent me a photo this morning of Kellie having a manicure, they are having a girlie treat. Kellie has a very eclectic dress sense and today is wearing denim shorts and a sequinned top  We had fun at the outdoor dancing yesterday, it even rained while it was on but the dancing area under the trees stayed bone dry. We danced a lot more than last week so we were pretty tired last night.

Hello all....

I had a late start to the day and seem to have been playing catch up all morning.

Cruiser, so sorry to hear about Mrs E, that must be so uncomfortable. Wishing her a speedy recovery
Ally, glad your ears survived my warbled tune and glad it made your dad smile; he probably was thinking what a nutter :D
Jan, I was wondering about the very upright back on the bench, given you wanted it to sit and relax for reading; but it does look fabulous so figured it was to be like that ;-)
Jen, hope E's appointment went well and all got done
Crommers, your post made me laugh. Besides grocery / animal food stores and one garden centre I haven't been in any shops. I do need to get some new shoes and dont' really want to do that online, but equally not sure I fancy heading to a shopping centre?
Osc, the outdoor dancing looks and sounds like huge fun - such a good idea to do whilst the weather plays along :D

Well, more general work / pootling for me.... nothing exciting to report at all

have a lovely rest of day everyone x
