Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 14 Sep 2020, 07:16

Good morning everyone

Getting warm already. although quite cloudy first thing.

Done the watering, that should be the last for this week, as we are forecast rain :Hi: :Hi: it's hammering down in the north, which is good, will help put the fires out. Believe it or not, a 75 year old woman has been arrested for lighting fires

Lots of little jobs for me, cleaning the fridge, washing, cleaning the outside of the woodburners. Hope to get in the pool this afternoon, far too windy yesterday, wouldn't have got the cover back on

Hope E gets his hospital tour today and had a good night, You too Jen x

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning Jan, morning everyone :D

Promising to be a lovely warm day here as well Jan; a cool and misty start to the day with a lot of dew but that will hopefully soon burn off and then I can mow the lawn

So why on earth was that woman starting the fires; was she (stupidly) trying to clear land? Surely she should know better! :o  But fingers crossed the rain gets down to you . Enjoy the day doing the bits and bobs you are

A usual mix of work / personal work and pootling for me

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, after the most amazing weather yesterday, it’s still cloudy here in Wicklow but sun is forecast. We had great fun yesterday dancing in the park, some of our Friday night social friends came along and it was lovely to see them for the first time in six months. Afterwards, we drove down here, an easy drive of just an hour with light traffic. We’ve just finished breakfast, heading for the shower and the plan is to climb the Sugar Loaf. Near the Sugar Loaf is a lovely shop where we plan to buy dinner on the way home, they do posh ready meals.

 whatever next.

E had a good night, no news about the angiogram yet.

Yesterday aftenoon I decided to tidy a bush I pruned a few days ago. Some of it was rather thick I so got a bit carried away with the loppers, oops kill or cure  I sent a photo to E, he did laugh, a gardener I'm not.

No plans for today, I'm so restless I'm sure I'll find something to do.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Sunny Monday!
Good morning all. Nowt so queer as folk Jan, as they say. The dew will certainly burn off Ria, no worries there. I'm glad E had a good night Jen, I hope you did too.
A bit of shopping to do but not much.
Our mattress needs turning today. It's an old fashioned thing though quite new and it weighs a ton. It will do for me one day.
Sitting outside and making the most of the weather is going to feature later on.
Have a good day all.

Good morning!

It was an early walk for Bill this morning ahead of the heat forecast for later. Gone are the days when I used to get up early to take him and creep around though as everyone was still sleeping - these days Joe’s out of the house by 6.30 and Tom by 7

No real plans for today, just some pictures to put up in the home office and we might pop to Ikea tonight for some storage for in there.

Edit to add: did the dual fuel renewal this morning which I’d been putting off so that’s an achievement.

Have a good day all :)

No news about why she started the fire, probably done it every year, for years, as her father, grandfather did. Sadly, was very windy and dry yesterday and whoosh, off it went

I've done everything I wanted to do, just waiting for the cloud to disappear again and then I'll cool off in the pool Very sticky here today :(

Afternoon :)

Glad E had a good night Jen :) 8-)

*Waves to everyone*

I've been in town with Emma, had a bite to eat and a mooch round the shops. It is baking hot here, right back to summer temps! Got home and found B scrubbing the brickwork on the front of the house, as there were two chalk marks on there :? There has been a spare of dog thefts in Gloucester recently, and as these chalk markings have been linked to thefts they had to come off immediately   Apparently they recce up people with dogs, and B''s friend Holly found one - she has Humphrey - and another neighbour with one dog had a mark, it does seem likely! I think Fraggle would bite anyone who tried to snatch either him or Pepper from the garden but you never know  xxx
