Good Morning New Years Day

Postby JanB » 01 Jan 2021, 09:31

Morning everyone

Whispering here    Didn't want to wake you all up

 A cloudless sky, but with a brisk breeze, so feeling rather cool out there 8-)

A fantastic night again last night, we were very naughty and broke the curfew  coming home at one in the morning 8-)

Not doing a lot today - sausage butties for breakfast and a favourite for dinner and that's about it. We're not allowed on the roads or out and about after 1.00pm anyway

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning Jan and all, it’s a misty one here and the snow and ice hasn’t shifted yet.

We had a lovely night last night. Poor Joe stuck in on New Years Eve with his old Mom and Dad but we chatted all night and laughed lots :D

I will do the trees today, and today is the only day of the year that John cooks  He does a full English breakfast but as he and Joe are intending on going for a run I think we’ll have it for lunch instead :D

Enjoy the sausage sarnies Jan :Hi:

Have a good day all xx

Morning all. That sounds like a nice night Jo.
I was wrong about having no fireworks last night. They started in earnest about 11.30pm. Wow, what a racket!
Still very cold and icy here. Everyone is avoiding the pavements down our street as they are treacherous and slippy, and walking in the middle of the road.
We need to do a weekend shop but that will be about it for the day I think.
Have a good day everyone and Happy New Year!

Morning all. Happy New Year.

I have walked Millie and de-christmased the dining room. The living room can wait until Monday.

This afternoon I intend to have a soak in the bath and then disappear into the spare room to watch Bridgerton on netflix.

Afternoon all :)

We were all asleep by 11 but awoken by what sounded like mortars going off outside at about midnight! Luckily the dogs were well dosed up so slept through. We're round D's today, lunch in a minute of soup and rolls that I fetched, and there's a lovely beef and red wine casserole in the slow cooker for tonight that D started off earlier :)

It snowed earlier, but it's thawed now :x

Love to everyone :) xxx

Jan glad you had a fun night. You too Jo.
We always stay up to see the New Year in, we were both a bit merry after all the bubbly

Not a lot happening here today, we'll be having roast pork for dinner later.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Ooo that does sound fab Saundra, hope you manage it all!!

We’ve had a run down to the beach for a very bracing walk!! Poured down overnight but got sunny during the morning, managed to grab a latte and a tea cake too, Tom had broth!!

Quiet night in last night watching a film with a takeaway Chinese, bed by about 11 but the fireworks disturbed the dogs and Lily started barking at 2.30am so Tom walked them then, in the pouring rain!! We did get a bit of a lie in but very up and down night!!!

Hope Ally has got her flight ok!!

Happy New Year all!!! Xxx
