Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 21 Apr 2021, 05:22

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

I'm away for a walk shortly. :D

Back to happily read...and read some more. I'll have a swim too. :D

Don's going for an x-ray on his knee today. For years he's known it's a bit 'rusty'. Yesterday he took himself up to centro salud to get an appointment to see a doctor. As he was at the reception arranging said appointment a doctor came over to him asking if he spoke English. Of course Don said yes. The doctor took him into a side room (all masked and appropriate distance etc) had a look at his knee....and promptly rang a clinic in Teatinos and got Don in today.

Don went back to the receptionist. She asked if he'd been vaccinated yet. No, not yet. Ok. Come Thursday at 1pm for your vaccine. Only in Spain!

Fab TV tonight. GB menu & GB Sewing Bee. :cute: :cute:

Have a good day.

Morning all :)

Ally, that's fantastic service 8-) :D I hope the appointment goes well for him :) Do you know when you might get your jab? xxx

Exciting times here, as D and I are going to Sainsbury's today rather than tomorrow  :P   That's because D has (garden) visitors tomorrow - Dan and Nik are bringing Poppy to see their great grandma :D Weymouth to Gloucester and back in one day makes it a long trip, but D has two weeks off as he and N were due to be married next weekend and he kept the booked leave. Everyone else in the family is dying to see D, and she's certainly missed them, so it will be lovely. Luckily the forecast is good, dry and pretty warm.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Me again.

Back from my walk....and somehow I've agreed, before the end of this month, to walk into Malaga centro from my house.

I met Stefan when I was out this morning. I hadn't seen him for ages as he'd been working in Germany.

Anyway...he's got into walking (in a big way! ) and we got talking...and next thing I'm agreeing to meet him at my house and walk to Malaga bus station. He said it's too much to walk back too so bring my bus pass.

Kaz...I'm just waiting for a text to come through with my appointment. Any day now I've been told. :cute: :cute:

  We do have bus passes Kaz.

A single journey into Malaga would be 1.65.

With a pass it works out at 1.20.

You just top the pass up at an estanco. (cigarette shop.)

On google maps it reads 16.3kms but that's as the crow flies. I'm sure it'll be a tad more.

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Grey but mild and rain expected later.

Hope Don is okay Ally and you both get your jabs soon xx

Grumpy is cleaning the windows, why, when it's going to rain, is beyond me, but hey ho.

Off to the doc this afternoon, just routine, so will do the shopping on the way back and will have a pit-stop at the bar :Hi:

How lovely for D Kaz :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan :) Hope the routine appointment goes well, and enjoy your lot stop afterwards ;) I stopped for a quick cuppa outside Coffee#1 in town yesterday! Not a very scenic location, but SO good to be out in the sunshine doing something normal :Hi:

Good morning all. Grey and a bit colder here.
Enjoy the pit stop Jan. :)
Ally, that is amazing service. God knows how long Don would have to wait over here.
Yes Kaz, sunshine and normality - well overdue!
In a minute we are off to Ponte to pick up a new CPAP machine. I don't know if I even need it anymore but hey ho. I've had the last one since 2009 and it's now obsolete!
After that I'm not sure.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s pleasant here with hazy sunshine, hopefully the bit of haze will drift away. I put washing on the line last night on the basis of the forecast, so it should be dry by lunchtime. I got the ironing up to date yesterday *polishes halo* but of course there will be more needing to be done when the washing is dry  We were expecting a parcel which arrived before 8am, new duvet covers for the spare room and new roasting tins - who knew that Pyrex did roasting tins? I didn’t! Right, better get tidying around, Edward is already out practising his golf for golf’s return next week, and we’ll get out for a walk later. Oh, forgot to say - our hairdresser phoned yesterday and gave us appointments for mid-May, as she hopes they will be allowed to open by then.
