Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but very cold. Think we might have had a frost last night

Holiday today but no hunters, for a change. Not yet, anyway.

We cancelled the shopping trip as apart from the supermarkets, most shops are closed. We'll go tomorrow instead.

Far too early for me to even think about getting the decs out 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Run done....tree and decs now sitting prettily in the utility room.

It would normally be too early for me too Jan but after what happened this year :( and Jacob arriving Monday, Sunday seems perfect timing. :D

Good morning all.
Up earlier than usual this morning to get Eliza up, fed and off to nursery for 8.30 am.
Most of you seem to be in for a more interesting day than me, though that may be setting the bar quite low!
We are looking at getting a cottage in Northumberland for a week next summer.
This has led to the repeated uttering of the Yorkshire motto - "How much?!"
Gosh, the prices have gone up since we last went.
Have a nice day all.

Morning all

Lovely blue skies but a bit of a nippy wind. It's a lot warmer today (as it was yesterday) than it has been for a while, but it's expected to go cold again tonight and then say cold for a few days.

Nadine put her tree up on Sunday and I'm hoping to go buy my tree either later today or Friday and then put it up over the weekend. Ally, I think you're spot on - so much has happened the past year that you need to embrace every day. My tree and my decorations cheer me up - I love having them around me - so why not make the most of enjoying them ;-)

I'm about to head out for a consultant appointment. I have a ganglion in one the joints on my hand; nothing overly painful but it does need looking at and sorting at some point.

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Morning all, there is sunshine and cloud out there and the sea looks cold and a bit cross. Edward is currently rummaging around in the attic getting the tree and decs, we usually put up our tree the first Thursday in December when Michael and Kellie are here. Later on we are heading to IKEA to get a small silly present for his sister and her husband, who moved house last week, then we will call to see them on our way home. This is the BIL who is ill.

My interview went well yesterday, the interviewer and cameraman were both lovely. Apparently the video they are making will be clips of interviews with different people, so it will probably be a case of blink and you’ll miss me!

Morning all :D

Dull and very windy

I think a lot of us are putting our tree and decs up early Ally, it's not been the best year for a lot of us. I'm with Ria, my tree and decorations cheer me up.
Cruiser we posted the overseas cards on Monday, the rest will go today.
Hope you find a nice cottage for the summer Crommers.
Glad the interview went well Osc.

Didn't post yesterday, I had a bit of a panic and had to ring my consultant. He was lovely, but said there was nothing to be done, it's too early to intervene, full healing will take 3 months. He'll see me next Tues evening to take a look. Feeling a lot better this morning, fingers crossed.

It's our 48th anniversary today, goodness knows where all the years have gone. We've booked a table at The Racing Greyhound for a late lunch/early dinner, it's just round the corner so not far to walk. I did check with the consultant and he said short distances are okay. Now just got to hope the weather behaves and the promised rain holds off till this evening.

Hope you all have a good day xx
