And so it starts

Postby JanB » 16 May 2022, 20:38

Idiot next door now has the land next to us and has already got Jose Felipe to cut down his crop (Jose Felipe's crop, which was done last year)

He's now had an electrician by our gate, talking about doing something to the electricity. No idea what, as yet, but I will ring tomorrow, as we know the electrician. Will need to find out if he can, without permission (this is Portugal, so maybe) run electric wiring from our gate onto his land. He could take the longer route, from the track, (but that is a long, long way)

Just knew it was going to be a problem.

Big sigh

His head is not normal. As friend said, it's like a corkscrew. Twisty

He starts something, gets bored, leaves it for months or years, in the case of the fencing he was supposed to put up three years ago, and does something else.

I need to find out what he cane and cannot do. We were under the impression that he could only have access over our land, but translation needs to be sorted. There are a couple of words we don't understand.

Oh, he is Ally  We just knew it would all kick off, once he got the land.

Just had a chat with Sergio, who was outraged with Brian.

He apparently thought it was okay to access electricity from our junction box and put either poles or dig a trench, across our land, to get electric onto his land

He was told that he couldn't do that  and he would have to contact EDP to sort out access, which will be from the track and he will have poles put up to where he wants the electricity.

That will take a lot of time and also thousands of euros.

And then of course, he won't get permission to have a bore hole, as they're not being given out. There would be too many houses using the same water table, so it's unlikely that he'd get planning permission for a house anyway.

So either way, he's stuffed.

Should have done some research first.

Oh phew Jan, fingers crossed that he can't do anything with the land (besides put more animals on it :( )

How did he think he'd get away with accessing electricity from your junction box? He really is just rather odd

He can't actually put animals on it. I've doubled checked our deeds this morning and he is only allowed passage across the land, with either himself, a car, tractors or animals. And I've triple checked my translation, with a native Portuguese.

There is nothing in the deeds to state he can do anything else.

And breath

Oh blimey Jan, it's one thing after another with him. I hope he doesn't try to get round any of the rules, you can do without the bother xx

Oh, he'll try Jen.

He really is the most odd person.
