Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 24 Aug 2022, 05:35

Good morning.

Another day in the valley of scorchio.

Off for a walk shortly, back for a swim then it's Carrefour for some goodies Don spotted on a flyer we had delivered.

I also need to buy a jiffy bag.
I have spices to post to a certain lovely lady but this silly lady put said spices in her own spice drawer and completely forgot about them.
Sorry Jan.

Repair Shop and Shetland tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

It has been raining again. I had to drive through several puddles when I went for the paper.
Doing some more housework today.
Have a good day everybody

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

We had a very thick mist earlier and although that's now gone, we've got a rather grey sky  Cooler today :Hi:

No worries Ally, it's still too warm to cook curries 8-) Next month maybe ;)

A rubbish night for us both. Just nodded off and buzzzzzzzzz. Yep, a mozzie, so up we get and decamp to the other room. Then can't get to sleep  Seem to doze for most of the night, until a certain black and white cat decided she wanted to come in, as it was cold outside. Then she wanted something to eat, then she wanted to go out, then she wanted to come back in (through the window  ) Think we managed about two hours sleep

Off into Ourique after coffee, we'll have breakfast when we get back.

Need the paint for the window trims, which has to be specially mixed in the drogaria and some screening, if he has it. Then the double joy of the supermarkets

Pit stop for coffee on the way back, check the post then back for breakfast.

Stir fry, for a change, for dinner :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, sun and cloud here and it feels cooler. It took me ages to get to sleep last night, my brain was buzzing about nothing in particular. We’re going shopping this morning, we want to get a smaller suitcase and I also want to get new fitted sheets, the ones I have are just a bit too small for the new mattress. I’ll need a little nap this afternoon as I’m going to see “Joseph and the Amazing Tecnicolour Dreamcoat” with Miss Osc, Kellie and my sister this evening - a girlie outing. Better get moving.

If you can prep pork stew in August Jan you have my admiration. In fact any cooking in August.

Your guests will appreciate it, I'm sure. :D

Thinking about it I won't send the spices till September 1 as our post office only opens in August 8.30 - 12.30 and it's too hot to queue.
I'll wait till normal hours resume.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

A bad night is horrid Jan, hope the jaunt out perks you up.
Sorry you're not feeling so good Saundra, hope the head eases ready for the visit from Scarlett.
Enjoy the theatre trip Osc.

It was lovely being down by the harbour yesterday, we walked all the way round it, even better the rain stayed away. After our fish and chips we went along the seafront and just sat enjoying all the activity on the beach, lots of people in the sea, expect they were making the most of it before the schools are back. The water is at it's warmest for the year, too cold for me these days, but I remember how much I loved it when I was growing up. Not so good with the car, it failed the MOT and cost extra to put right, double the expected bill. Oh well it's done and fingers crossed that will get me through another year without hassle.

Absolutely no plans for today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

No cat flap Saundra, far too windy, it would be blowing open all night

Ouch Jen. Hope nothing else goes wrong.

Couldn't get the screening we wanted in the drogaria, so we're off to Beja tomorrow, to Bricomarche. Just spent an hour looking at their screening and Leroy Merlin, in the Algarve. Beja it is, much better road and we can dap into Lidl on the way back :D

That's absolutely fine Ally x No worries at all, leave it until then. I have a bit of this and a bit of that leftover still.

Very late breakfast, more like lunch  and after that rubbish night, think we'll both have a lie down - in separate rooms

'Valley of scorchio' made me chuckle Ally  xx

No drought up your way then Cruiser :) xx

Hope you get a better night tonight Jan xx

Saundra it was horribly humid here this morning, but thankfully started raining about an hour ago and feels much more comfortable now 8-) Have fun with Scarlett xx

Enjoy the show tonight Osc :D xx

Lovely to be so close to the seafront Jen, and to be able to enjoy it :) xx

Went into town early to meet J for a cuppa, then picked up a few bits in M&S foodhall. Bus home as D went shopping today, for visitors tomorrow. Might go to Zumba tonight, for the first time since I got Covid. Will take it easily if I do.

Take care everyone :) xx
