Morning Ally, and everyone :)

Well, you couldn’t make it up! After 4 hours sat on the runway yesterday they cancelled B’s flight - again! Something structural with the plane this time. So she’s currently in a hotel at Heathrow waiting to hear when she gets to fly :( Not sure who’s more stressed, me or Becky

On a happier note we had a really enjoyable time with my sis and P yesterday, it was so good to see them :)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Moring everyone

Dull, grey and maybe some wet stuff this afternoon.

  That's dreadful Kaz   Hope she gets away soon xx

Cleaning for me this morning. Grumpy might be able to get some more strimming done, before the rain.

Out for dinner tonight, down to David and Rita's :D Their son is over too, and Chris and Lucy are coming, so should be a good night :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

It was 15C when I got up. Lots of blue sky but some grey clouds in the distance. Still very windy. Am going shopping. I want some veg and apples.
Will see if there are any Christmas pudings left. Have plentyof brandycream left.

Then just pootling. I keep havinga glass of wine with my dinner I bought six bottles when i ent to Sainsbury's before Christmas.

Some crocus have started appearing in the front garden. I planted them in October so will soon have some flowers.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, mostly blue sky here, chilly though. We are up a bit early as SIL and Michael are playing golf this morning and asked if Edward would like to join them so we need to go and collect Edward’s golf clubs before heading to their club to meet them. While the men play golf, Miss Osc, Kellie and I are going for a walk then we will meet up back in the club house for a cuppa and chat. This was all arranged late yesterday evening and Edward is delighted because his usual golf partner is playing with his two sons and Edward dropped out so a grandson could play too - now he will have a nicer time playing with his grandson. Usual tidy around before we go shortly.

Kaz that is so stressful for you and Becky. What airline is it?

Change of plan. Going to a funeral this afternoon.

don't know if any of you remember me mentioning Dimas, but he was a good friend, who died a few years ago, much too early.

Mario was his brother. Such sadness for one family.

Good morning, just.
A middling sort of morning here.
Off for a paper in a moment.
Jan, that is sad.
This evening we are going next door for nibbles. Mustn't stay too long, we might miss the last bus home!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Thanks everyone xxx

Osc, she was originally with Cathay Pacific, when that was cancelled she was changed to the BA flight yesterday, and apparently they’ve been appalling! Four hours on the runway with no food or drink provided and very limited communication since :( It’s her actual travel agent who has been super helpful and arranged Singapore Airlines for this evening. An email of complaint is winging its way to BA, Becky is very good at such things!

Good afternoon all.

So far it hasn’t rained today  I walked Bill first thing then did a load of washing when we got back, that’s now blowing around on the line. The Tesco delivery has been and now I’m waiting for Amazon

I started a jigsaw yesterday, did a bit and then went back to it last night. I remember checking my watch at 10.30pm, next time I looked it was 1.54am. I was so engrossed in it

John texted me yesterday afternoon from his one hour stint of sitting in the car outside his mother’s GP surgery. She’s been complaining of back pain since the week before the wedding we went to last month. Theresa had taken her to A&E a couple of times and she was told to take painkillers.
You see, she has form for this when the attention isn’t on her.
Anyway, after the wedding we’d gone back to see to Bill and when we got back to the venue we went into the room to see if anyone wanted a drink before going to the bar. John didn’t see what I saw as he’d stopped to talk to someone. I went back to the bar to order and Mike, T’s husband, was standing there and when he saw me he laughed and said “that back’s okay now isn’t it”.

What I’d seen, and obviously what he’d seen, was our mother in law dancing around on the dance floor without a care in the world.

It appears that now T has stopped pandering to her, and the attention this week has obviously been on T’s grandchildren, so when John got there yesterday after a three hour drive she asked if he’d take her to the doctors if she could get an appointment, which she did hence why John was sat outside in his car for an hour and again she’s been told to take painkillers.

Kaz, that’s awful! BA don’t seem to have a very good reputation from what I’ve heard in the last year or two.

Hope the funeral goes as well as it can Jan x

Have a good day all :)
