Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Sunny, but blowy, so feels rather cool out there.

The washing is horizontal on the line   I'll need a stepladder to get it back down again

Pootling in the garden this morning, as well as sorting out those pesky tickets. Steve couldn't do it - I need an app, apparently  He tried with his card, and found out that he needs one too  Step up to the plate Darren :Hi: I'm sending him all the stuff he needs this morning, even down to our nif numbers - can't buy anything in Portugal without your nif number (tax number). He's bought tickets many times and knows all the tricks. Good lad that. So I bought him a beer :D

Tuna salad for dinner, which means I must do the spuds this morning.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Feeling pretty cool here today Al, no pool necessary :cute: ;) xx

Have a good day Cruiser xx

Jan, I said my bit about apps on yesterday's thread ;) They make life a lot easier :) xx

It's been raining here, so feels a bit sticky. We're out for breakfast as usual on a Tuesday, then round to D's.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all

Ally, LOL, definitely no need for a pool here. I have a teeny tiny 3 ring blow up baby pool that I use when it's really hot - just big enough to sit in and splash water up myself and cool down a bit if it's needed. Yesterday I deflated it to be packed away until next year. Autumn weather is arriving rather speedily; it is noticeably darker in the mornings and get's dark so much earlier again.
Jan, I agree that having either a tablet or smart phone that has apps is the way forward - yes it'll take a bit of getting used to, but if you get rid of all the stuff that comes with the phone and you don't need, and keep it clear and simple then you'll be using it like a pro in no time!
Kaz, rain here too overnight, but it's quite cool still. Sun is trying hard to come out
Cruiser, enjoy the busy morning and then the quiet afternoon

I'm being very cheeky today; it's the last day that I have a chance to do something with Thomas (my nephew) before it's back to work in the office / him back at college; so we're heading to the golf range. He'll hit a few balls at the driving range, so I can work whilst he's doing that, but then we will do a quick round of mini golf together, if the weather holds.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s grey and chilly here. However, to cheer me up, I’ve just heard that I’ve been successful in the ballot for tickets to next year’s Open golf in Portrush, now starts the hunt for accommodation! No plan for today except trying to work my way through lots of laundry. When we came back from holiday in June, the weather was good and I was able to get two wash loads out on the line the day we came home - no drying outside this week

Morning all :D

Nice and sunny 8-)

Well it's a definite first, neither of us need to change our specs prescription, well mine has changed a fraction, but the optician said new specs aren't really needed :D Ed does need a spare pair though, but the cheapest cost the best part of £400 so we'll have a think about it and see if he can get them any cheaper elsewhere.

Slightly overdid it yesterday though, the sun was out when we left so decided to park at Waitrose (free parking for 2hrs) which meant tackling the hill and as we had a few other bits to do the cobbles too. That would have been okay, but when we got home we did a good garden tidy so we could fill the bin ready for this morning. Definitely felt it, not just a sore ankle, but a sore hip too, glutton for punishment me

Expecting a Tesco delivery soon, the app says he's only 1 stop away. Apart from that we'll be playing catch up with the Paralympics.

Hope you all have a good day xx

They are just so expensive, aren't they :-(
Do you have a spare frame that's still in excellent condition that they could reuse - that should reduce the cost quite a bit?

Hello.
We've been into town to go to the building society (gosh, it's looking run down).
We've got a bit of shopping for Pat down the road as it's difficult for her to get out now and she left something off her Asda order by mistake.
Ordered some new brake light bulbs for the car and that's about it for the day's entertainment.
not a bad day now after early rain.
Jen, that seems a bit expensive. My last pair were about £240.
Have a good one everybody.
