Afternoon :)
Another beautiful day here 8-)
Last night was lovely :D Unkown to us - and friend - the pub has been completely refurbished, it's been really well done.
A great big extension of black wood at the back with floor to ceiling windows, and the huge roof space filled with hanging bird cages of all descriptions, a massive mirror at the back...beautifully done.
The tripadvisor comments were spot on though. The food was lovely (sea bream for two of us, spanking fresh, one salmon & prawn pie, one steak - guess who), but the waiting staff just terrible, and with the person supposedly in charge of the restaurant giving them no direction whatsoever.
You know when it's jolly warm, a lovely day, you're waiting for food and you'd really quite like a drink? - well these waitresses don't seem to know that, or that some people (like a table of 12 girls out for a very well-behaved hen night) might actually want another drink once they've finished the first

Anyway, enough of that, it was a lovely evening, D and her friend Marjorie are terrific company and M especially enjoyed having a young(!) man flirting a bit and making her giggle :D
And outside as we were leaving who should I see but my lovely hairdresser, who had also not been there since it had been done up, but had got fed up with waiting for their main course and snuck out for a fag :P
D and friend are at Chewton Glen for lunch today, hence not wanting anything too posh last night ;)

We've been shopping - we needed so little it only cost about £16! :D , and I again failed to find any shoes/sandals. I shall have to bite the bullet and go into Southampton.
Ribs and coleslaw tonight, maybe potatoes, maybe garlic bread - a piggy day, we just had sausages in onion baguette for lunch :D

Have a good time tonight Kaz :)
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone

That all sounds lovely Di, glad you enjoyed it! :D :D :D Sounds like their waiting staff deserved the TA bad reviews, maybe you should add to them, they might finally do something about it! ;) Hope you find some shoes when you go into town, I found a pair of dark denim blue wedges in the box where I keep the shoes I hardly ever wear! They are pretty much unworn, no idea why they were hiding in there, so I've got a 'new' pair now :D Even better they go really well with my new navy skirt 8-) ;)

Saundra, it will be nice to have a newly decorated bedroom :D

Jo, that traffic situation sounds terrible! Glad you can avoid it 8-)

Have a good day pootling Ton :)

Jen, do take care! I bruise really easily, in fact I have bruises on my legs on the moment, and have no idea how I got them :o

Have a lovely day Debih, whatever you end up doing :)

You too Suff :)
