Nelson came out the other week Suff and tested it - all the ph levels are fine, we just have a lot of iron in our water.

Because we've had a very dry year and also because we used our bore-hole water, when we top it up, we're getting stuff from the lower level. Our bore hole is 100 metres deep.

it'll settle down - we're having to top up every day and I think Grumpy left the tap on for too long, hence the green taking a long time to disappear.

Hi all - I am not happy (for a change!!) as I was more or less promised I wouldn't have to cope with a full clinic on my own today - but guess what??? Yep - I am!    I am SO fed up - I'm not myself at all yet and in fairness Anne (our optom today) has been brilliant, she said she'd look after me and she has, but that's not fair on her....we need more staff! We are getting one...some??....soonish but honestly those lads don't half drag their feet!!

At least it's over at 5.30 - until Saturday! Wish me a quiet afternoon....

It is Lily's second birthday today! We are popping over theirs tonight for a little while with her card and a few little pressies. Here she is on Sunday at her party

Jen is going to be out for a couple of days as it's her friend's funeral tomorrow in Newcastle so she is staying at Kyle's as he lives nearby, and then again tomorrow night. I think he'll be able to give her a bit of support at least...sad time :(

Afternoon :)
Cloudy here today, but dry and still warm so that's fine :)

Lovely pic Gal :)
It is terribly sad about Jen's friend, my first experience of a friend dying was when I was only 17, except it was two of them within a couple of weeks, both very tragic accidents. I'd lost both grandmothers before that, but you just accept that I think when you're younger, because they were old...

Bb's in London again today, a much earlier start so he took himself to Brockenhurst station (I had to last week, it was later, there wouldn't have been any parking).
He always walks from Waterloo, and this new office he has to go round St Catherine's Dock, which is where the Queen's barge is moored :D
He didn't know last week till he saw it, but has been told he has to get a picture today ;)

So since I was up early too, after taking Minnie out and showering, I took myself to Christchurch, hadn't been for ages and ages, largely because the traffic is usually terrible, but no reports on local radio today so off I went :)
And mission accomplished, I'd remembered a decent shoe shop and found some really pretty flat sandals, plus a pair of nice-looking shoes for walking in. I have proper decent walking sandals (and trainers of course), but really wanted something that looked a bit nicer. I wouldn't go for a ten-mile hike in these, but they're good for general use, well made with a cushioned inner and a lovely thick sole :)
Then bought a treat of M&S's yummy chocolate chunk shortbread, it was calling to me :D

Hope your days are all going according to plan :)

Good afternoon all.

We've been busy all morning putting back our re-vamped bedroom back into shape,
and have been sweating buckets, because it is so hot and muggy here. But we are
most pleased with the final result. A nice cold shower is on the menu now.

Hope you are enjoying yourselves.

Glad the bedroom design worked out well for you Aggers :D

I took Billy for a long walk and went into the cemetery on the way past to check on my Nan and Grandad's grave. Dad doesn't manage to get there as often as he'd like now so I try and keep an eye on it. I want to find somewhere that sells those little white chippings for on the grave and they have some silk flowers on there which are looking a little tired so I'll get some new when I'm next in town.
