That is such a fab idea Ally, as Kaz said, no one to please but yourself and it will be lovely for you and Don to have time away - maybe the start of a new tradition?

Jo, agree, it really is scary just how far into the year we are. As a matter of interest, is the market in Birmingham nice? I'll be in Germany at exactly that time this year, but it may be something to bear in mind for next year as it could easily be done as a day trip?

Di, those puddings sound fab, could you use them as tree decoration as well?

Ria, the market is lovely - and very big!
It seems to get bigger every year. When it started it was just in the square in front of the Council House but now it starts down by the Bullring, runs the full length of New St up to the Council House with stalls on both sides of the street, and continues around by the library. Evenings and weekends are best avoided as it gets crazy busy, and this year it doesn't close until December 29th, it usually closes a few days before Christmas.
