I'm now picturing Ria sashaying down New St  :Hi:

I just thought that the Old Contemptibles might be quieter with it being a bit less central.

I think the market has grown exponentially in recent years, and how many stalls will be at the Victoria Square / Town Hall end may be restricted by the Paradise Circus reconstruction scheme - basically demolishing the old "concrete-brutalistic" library. I would think the market might spread further down New Street in the other direction, towards the Bull Ring, which is what was beginning to happen last year. Plenty of eating places in the Bull Ring area.

How the trams are going to cope getting across New Street between Stephenson Street and Corporation Street when the market is on should be quite interesting .....

Must confess, Mrs O and I didn't bother visiting it during the last few years - too frenetic and crowded. As the sign said outside the Lidl's in Pype Hayes near us "Why bother going to the market for your Stollen - we are selling it at half the price!!"

Ah Frank. You are too kind . However I gather your auto correct may accidentally replaced the words "pain to the ears" with "drivers seat "
